🇬🇧🇺🇸🇨🇦🇮🇪🇦🇺🇳🇿🇿🇦 To say the least, this is embarrassing for *Läkartidningen* (The Swedish Medical Journal), one of Europe’s most influential medical journals in terms of circulation. The journal ought to take a completely different approach: not a single vaccine currently in use in the Western world has been tested against a placebo. When treating healthy people for preventative purposes, the tolerance for side effects is significantly lower; in other words, vaccines should ALWAYS be tested against a placebo, otherwise we know nothing about their safety and efficacy. It’s as simple as that. 😊
The best advice for people at risk of developing serious symptoms from an infectious disease: live as healthily as possible and treat yourself with complementary medicine which, just like a healthy lifestyle, brings your body into balance and strengthens your immune system – which has evolved effectively over the past 200,000 to 300,000 years. 😊
Introduction to the article:
”High-risk groups are turning their backs on vaccination: “More efforts are needed”
Just over one in two people in high-risk groups who are offered a flu or Covid-19 vaccine actually get vaccinated, and it is mainly young people who are opting out, according to a new study from Umeå University. “The most surprising thing is that people with multiple risk factors do not seem any more likely to get vaccinated than those with just one risk factor,” says researcher Urban Johansson Kostenniemi.
Although flu and COVID-19 vaccinations are offered free of charge to people at increased risk of severe illness, many choose not to get vaccinated. Researcher and infectious disease specialist Urban Johansson Kostenniemi, together with his colleagues at Umeå University, wanted to investigate whether there are structural barriers to vaccination and to understand which factors influence whether a person in a risk group gets vaccinated or not.”
