National parks make for some of the BEST vacations! 🏞️♿️
I’ve visited national parks across the U.S., and many of my favorite travel memories have happened in them. There’s something special about rolling through a national park and seeing scenery that makes you stop and think, “WOW!” 🤩
And while accessibility varies from park to park, many national parks offer accessible trails, scenic drives, and other ways for power wheelchair users and travelers with different accessibility needs to experience these incredible places.
So far, I’ve visited Yosemite, Great Smoky Mountains, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Redwood, Acadia, Everglades, Hot Springs, Mammoth Cave, Grand Canyon, and Shenandoah.
I’ve written a LOT about national parks on my blog over the years, sharing accessibility information and tips from my own experiences. And in honor of National Park Week this week, I’m sharing a Reel every day this week on Instagram, highlighting a different national park! You can see them on Instagram
Hopefully, they’ll inspire your next accessible national park adventure… and maybe help you decide which park needs to be your next vacation!
What’s your favorite national park you’ve ever visited? Or which one is at the top of your bucket list?
