SSOHN NURSES’ DAY CELEBRATION 2026 | Honouring You. Empowering Every Life!

On 1 August 2026, the Singapore Society of Occupational Health Nurses (SSOHN) came together at the Healthcare Services Employees' Union (HSEU) Room to celebrate Nurses’ Day and, most importantly, the people behind our profession — our Occupational Health Nurses.

Every worker you protect.
Every illness you detect early.
Every injury you prevent.
Every employee you help return safely to work.
Every workplace you make healthier.

Each represents another life empowered through your care.

This was the heart behind our Nurses’ Day celebration — recognising the important contribution OHNs make every day in protecting the health, safety and well-being of our workforce.

Our afternoon brought together learning, movement, fellowship and reflection, including an insightful guest lecture by Dr Kenneth Leong on “Occupational Dermatitis in Singapore Workforce”, as well as our OHN Commitment Pledge — a meaningful opportunity to reflect on our purpose and commitment to occupational health nursing. Also, surprise visit by Dr Benjamin Choong.

Our heartfelt appreciation to all our sponsors and supporters for contributing to this special occasion and for the thoughtful gifts for our nurses. Your generosity helped make the celebration even more meaningful.

We hope everyone enjoyed the gifts! ❤️ The SSOHN Committee put special thought into preparing them as a small token of appreciation for the dedication, passion and impact our Occupational Health Nurses bring to workplaces every day.

🧠 Mental well-being is everyone's responsibility—and Occupational Health Nurses are uniquely positioned to make a difference.

As Occupational Health Nurses, we often support employees through workplace injuries, chronic illnesses, return-to-work programmes, health surveillance, and health promotion. Increasingly, we are also the first point of contact when someone is experiencing psychological distress, burnout, or overwhelming stress.
