🌞 𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞! 🌞

What a wonderful way to wrap up the month of July and welcome a brand new month filled with fresh adventures and meaningful moments ahead.

Our residents enjoyed two memorable outings filled with joy, celebration, and new experiences.

During the day, some of our residents attended Shunlin Wushu Kwan's 50th Anniversary Celebration, where they were warmly welcomed to a delightful luncheon and treated to lively lion dance and singing performances. For many of our residents, it was their first time in years enjoying an eight-course banquet, making the occasion even more special.

As night fell, another group of residents experienced the excitement of the National Day Parade Preview, with tickets generously sponsored by the Economic Development Board. From the spectacular performances to the dazzling fireworks display, the evening was filled with national pride, laughter, and unforgettable memories. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many who attended.

As we step into a new month, we look forward to creating many more meaningful experiences together! ❤️

😍𝐀 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐀𝐈𝐂 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩😍

We were honoured to welcome Ms Anita Fam, Board Member and President of the National Council of Social Services (NCSS), together with Mr Tan Chee Wee, Chief Executive Officer, Mr Chern Siang Jye, Assistant Chief Executive Officer, Mr Kenneth Chiong, Director, CEO Office, and Ms Tan Chia Hui, Senior Manager, to our Home.

Our guests were captivated by the heartfelt performances of our resident performing groups – the Evergreen Band and Graceful Movements hand gesture group and enjoyed a tour of our Home to experience our person-centred care and vibrant community.

They were also treated to light refreshments thoughtfully prepared using homegrown herbs from our garden and freshly harvested vegetables 🥬 lovingly cultivated by our residents. It was truly a farm-to-table experience that everyone enjoyed!

The visit was filled with meaningful conversations, shared laughter, thoughtful discussions, and handmade souvenirs🎁 lovingly prepared by our residents. We hope our guests left with wonderful memories, just as we will cherish this memorable visit. 🌻

As we prepare to decorate our Home for National Day, our residents are proudly weaving beautiful tapestries, one colourful strand at a time.

Every weave takes patience, focus and coordination to ensure it's neat and secure—but that's all part of the fun! 😊 Our residents embraced the challenge and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, creating not just a tapestry, but wonderful memories together.

At the Care Catalyst Appreciation Event, Bright Hill Evergreen Home was honoured to receive a token of appreciation from NTUC LearningHub in recognition of our valued partnership in strengthening Singapore's future of care through collaboration, innovation, and workforce development.

Over the past 2.5 years, this partnership has opened meaningful pathways for aspiring healthcare professionals to gain hands-on experience in eldercare. Through structured on-the-job training and mentorship, trainees develop not only the clinical skills required to care for seniors, but also the compassion, empathy and confidence to support each resident with dignity and respect.

We are delighted that many trainees found their attachment at Bright Hill Evergreen Home to be a meaningful and rewarding experience. Some have even chosen to continue their journey with us by joining our team full-time. By investing in their growth, we are not only nurturing the next generation of caregivers but also strengthening a workforce committed to delivering person-centred care.

This Father’s Day, our residents expressed their appreciation through beautiful floral artworks created using bubble wrap painting techniques. Each piece reflects heartfelt gratitude for the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have touched their lives with unwavering support, quiet sacrifices, and enduring love.

Today, we honour the memories they have created, the values they have passed on, and the lasting impact they continue to make. ❤️ Happy Father’s Day to all fathers and father figures.

Elder abuse can take many forms — physical, emotional, financial, neglect, or social isolation. By staying informed, speaking up, and looking out for one another, we can help protect vulnerable seniors and foster a culture of kindness and inclusion.

✨ 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐨𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐥 ✨

Filled with quiet childlike wonder and excitement, our residents took the train for the first time in years. As the train pulled into each station and the scenery drifted past the windows, smiles lit up their faces. What may seem like an ordinary commute to many became a precious experience filled with joy, curiosity, and wonder. For them, the journey to the mall was just as meaningful as the destination itself.

Sometimes, happiness is found in the simplest moments — a train ride and a new place to explore❤️
