"We’re excited to partner with Bambu Lab and six 3D printing focused accessibility organizations to launch Make for Good, a global accessibility design challenge on MakerWorld, the world’s largest platform for sharing, downloading, and printing 3D models. This fall, we invite designers and 3D-printer users worldwide to create assistive devices that address a real-world need for persons with disabilities."

An extendable assistive device designed to help people with upper-limb differences use cutlery more independently.
The device needs to be pre-set to fit the individual user. Once set up, the user should be able to put it on and remove it independently.

STL: https://www.printables.com/model/1852369

An overview of how to assemble the device:
- Use a rubber band to secure the utensil in the utensil holder.
- Adjust the extension block to fit the user’s limb length and lock it with the stud.
- Connect the extension block to the bracelet and secure it with the pull clip.
- Choose whether the utensil holder faces inward or outward.
- Insert the utensil into the holder.

Assemble the bracelet – Hook the two bracelet parts (the bracelet base and bracelet clasp) together to form the bracelet.

Adjust the extension block to fit the user’s limb length, then lock it with the stud.

Choose the utensil direction – The utensil holder can face either inward, toward the user’s body, or outward, away from the user’s body. Different utensil holder angles are available for different uses, including ±45° and ±90°. The version in this reel uses ±18°.

Inward position – The utensil holder faces toward the user’s body.

Outward position – The utensil holder faces away from the user’s body.

Remove the device – Press the side of the bracelet opposite the clasp. Then push the small tab on the clasp slightly upward and away from the bracelet to release it.

The Salvage Garden logo on a table banner is visible through the bracelet opening.
