Had cataract surgery and noticed that one eye is sharper than the other? 👁️

Dr. Phi explains that this can happen during the initial recovery stage. One eye may be dominant and adjust more quickly to changes in focusing, making it feel sharper than the other.

As the eyes continue to adjust, the difference usually becomes less noticeable. But if the difference remains significant, it’s best to discuss it with your eye care specialist.

Dr. Phi explains that when a cataract becomes too dense or mature, it can affect the surrounding eye structures and make surgery more challenging. In some cases, this may even lead to blurry vision after cataract surgery.

Dr. Phi explains that as we age, our eyes’ ability to focus on nearby objects gradually weakens. Spending long hours looking at phones, documents, and screens can strain the eye muscles, which may lead to eye strain and headaches.

If frequent headaches persist, it may be worth discussing them with your eye care specialist.

Uneven vision after LASIK? 👀

It’s not always a sign that something went wrong. During the initial recovery, one eye may feel sharper than the other due to eye dominance, dryness, and the eyes adjusting to their new focusing ability.

The difference often improves as your eyes heal.

But don’t skip your follow-up appointments. If the difference persists, talk to your eye care specialist.
