The price of heels 👠
Wearing heels makes you look tall and confident but it is very common to have ankle sprains, knee swelling and lower back discomfort.
The whole weight bearing changes when wearing the heels, at a tilted angle. It is recommended to wear lower heels or platform shoes or even change to slippers when you are not standing in the office.
Prolonged and accumulated tension in the lower back area can potentially lead to conditions like hyper lordosis in lower back spine, facet joint syndrome, herniated disc, foraminal stenosis or event lumbar spondylolisthesis in severe cases.
ICE pack and proper stretching is recommended after wearing the heels for some time!
If you are already experiencing lower back or knee discomfort, it is highly recommended not to wear heels for a prolonged period of time.
