Introducing one of our Medical Directors Dr Lee Kuok Chung .
Dr. Lee Kuok Chung is a respected Colorectal Surgeon with a distinguished career spanning over 15 years. He specializes in oncological colorectal surgery and benign perianal conditions and is renowned for his expertise in performing advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, as well as advanced endoscopy procedures.
Dr. Lee earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2005. He further honed his skills and was accredited as a general surgical specialist by the Specialist Accreditation Board, Singapore, after obtaining a fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS) in 2014. In 2015, he underwent additional training in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery for colorectal cancer at Yonsei University College of Medicine (Korea) under the prestigious MOH Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP).
Before joining the private sector, Dr. Lee worked as a surgeon in the Colorectal division of General Surgery at National University Hospital (NUH) and Alexandra Hospital (AH). He is also an enthusiastic educator and has served as the Chief Convenor for final year medical students and as a core committee member of the NUH General Surgery Residency Program. He currently holds the position of Visiting Consultant at NUH, where he continues to contribute to public healthcare and medical education.
Apart from his clinical practice, Dr. Lee has published numerous peer-reviewed papers and has been invited to present his clinical expertise at academic meetings. In his free time, he enjoys pursuing his hobbies in long-distance running and photography.
