🧊 Struggling to LIFT your ARM or reach BEHIND your BACK? It could be frozen shoulder.
Frozen shoulder, also known as adhesive capsulitis, is a condition that causes progressive pain and stiffness in the shoulder joint, making everyday movements increasingly difficult.
It can sometimes be mistaken for a simple shoulder strain or muscle tightness, but frozen shoulder typically causes a noticeable restriction in movement that may gradually worsen over time.
Common signs:
⚠️ Pain when lifting the arm overhead
⚠️ Difficulty reaching behind your back
⚠️ Significant shoulder stiffness
⚠️ Night pain or difficulty sleeping on the affected side
⚠️ Reduced shoulder movement in multiple directions
⚠️ Difficulty with daily activities such as dressing, washing your hair, or reaching for objects
Frozen shoulder can develop gradually and may take time to improve, so simply avoiding movement or repeatedly stretching through severe pain may not always be the best approach.
A thorough assessment can help determine whether your symptoms are consistent with frozen shoulder, identify your current stage and movement limitations, and determine whether conservative care, including appropriate mobility exercises, rehabilitation and chiropractic care, may be suitable.
