Celebrating Singapore, no matter where we are. 🇸🇬

This National Day, our volunteers and patients came together to celebrate Singapore through arts and craft. From writing heartfelt wishes in calligraphy to crafting Singapore's icons in clay, each activity was a reminder that our memories, hopes and community spirit are what bring us together.

As we celebrate our nation's 61st birthday and the theme “Majulah Singapura! Go Beyond!” we are reminded that going beyond means lifting one another up in the ways that we can. We are grateful for our volunteers who do so by sharing their time, compassion and talents that make the recovery journey a little brighter.

Inter Racial Inter Religious (IRIR) Harmony Nite 2026 brought together more than 2,000 guests in a celebration of Singapore's multicultural heritage. Joined by our Guest-of-Honour, Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Senior Minister of State for Education, Mr David Neo, this year's event centred on the theme "Heritage: The Heart of Harmony", inviting Singaporeans to reflect not only on the traditions and values we inherit, but also on the legacy we hope to pass on to future generations.

What kind of chair would suit the wide needs of users in public spaces?
How much stimulation is too much?
What helps someone feel safe when they feel overwhelmed during public commute?

For our Occupational Therapist, Lim Jiayi, these were not simply design decisions. They were questions shaped by the people she cares for every day.

Having worked closely with patients in our hospital including seniors living with cognitive challenges, experiencing emotional distress, and caregivers navigating difficult moments, she understood that calm looks different for everyone. That is why the Calm Cabin was thoughtfully designed with the users and accessibility in mind.

Because care goes beyond treatment. Care means helping people feel safe and confident doing their daily activities.

AMK-THKH is proud to be involved in the design and launch of the Calm Cabin at Bukit Batok bus interchange, a collaboration between Thye Hua Kwan Nursing Home and Tower Transit Singapore ❤️
