We are proud to share that NNI has won Bronze in the Best Employee Wellness Strategy award at the Employee Experience Awards 2026, organised by HumanResources Online.

Over the past 5 years, we have been building a wellness and learning culture for our people. A big shout-out to our F.U.N. Committee members who drive wellness activities at NNI, ranging from NNI Sports Day and Pickleball taster sessions to crafting workshops and games to help colleagues provide peer support.

On the learning front, our NeuroQuest Learning Challenge turns knowledge-building into something genuinely fun. For example, at the Hotdog Hub event, staff answered questions about NNI and AI tools available to them – each correct answer earnt them ingredients to build the perfect hotdog! 🌭

Thank you to all our NNI staff who have been part of this journey. This award belongs to all of you.

Today is World Multiple Sclerosis Day, a chance to shine a spotlight on a complex condition that causes the body’s immune system to attack neurons in the brain and spinal cord.

To mark the day, NNI took part in Multiple Sclerosis Society Singapore’s awareness event at Punggol Library today.

Mdm Rahayu Mahzam, who was the Guest-of-Honour, joined library goers to watch the neuroimmunology team’s skit, explaining how a small mistake can trigger a fierce response by the immune system. This damages the protective layer (myelin sheath) around neurons causing MS.

Meanwhile, Dr Foong Wai Dic gave a talk before a panel discussion about MS.

MS often strikes thise aged 20 to 40 years old, but the diagnosis does not define the person with MS. With early diagnosis and on-going treatment to prevent relapses, people with MS can continue to work, have children and lead active lives.

Dearest gentle reader... it has come to our attention that Patient Service Associates (PSAs) and Healthcare Support Staff have always gone out of their way to support and guide patients! ✨

This PSA and Healthcare Support Day, we celebrated our colleagues for their hard work and achievements with ice cream, iron-on patches and fun games! 🥳

We also recognised our NNI Quality Service Award recipients for their dedication and commitment to excellence. 🌟

Thank you to all our PSAs and support staff for being the dearest and supporting our clinics!

Congratulations to our HMDP recipients from the National Neuroscience Institute! 🏆

We are proud to see five of our colleagues recognised under the Health Manpower Development Programme, an initiative by the Ministry of Health that sponsors local healthcare professionals for advanced overseas training to bring world-class knowledge and skills back to Singapore.

This year, our recipients are heading to some of the leading institutions in the world. Dr Nancy Dang will be at Taipei Veterans General Hospital to deepen her expertise in migraine management, and Dr Jonathan Lai will be at Austin Health in Australia to learn more about young stroke services, including stroke genetics. Dr Damian Lee will be training at Columbia University Irving Medical Centre / NewYork Presbyterian Och Spine Hospital in the USA, focusing on complex cervical spine and deformity surgery.

Joining them are Principal Radiographer Cedric Bee Weng Fei and Senior Staff Nurse Chong Pau Khee from our neuroradiology team, who will be heading to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in the USA to build specialised knowledge in spontaneous intracranial hypotension — a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and treat, and where specialist expertise makes a real difference to patients.

This cohort is a wonderful reminder that developing our people at every level — clinicians, nurses, and allied health professionals alike — is at the heart of delivering excellent patient care. Every member of the team matters and investing in all our staff is how we continue to raise the bar for healthcare in Singapore.

We look forward to welcoming them back and seeing the difference their learning will make for our patients. Congratulations once again! 💙
