Travelling with diabetes takes a little extra planning, but it doesn't have to stop you from enjoying your trip.

Changes in routine, unfamiliar foods, increased walking and weather changes can all affect your blood sugar levels. Travel can also increase your risk of dehydration and may change how your body responds to insulin.

While you're away, check your blood sugar more often than usual, stay well hydrated, and store your medications and insulin at the recommended temperature. A little preparation can help you stay safe and keep your diabetes well managed throughout your journey.

New destinations, changing routines, unfamiliar meal times, and more frequent snacking can all quietly disrupt your diabetes management.

Planning ahead can help you stay on track while you travel. Before you head overseas, speak with your endocrinologist to make sure your diabetes management plan is tailored to your travel itinerary, giving you greater peace of mind throughout your trip.

😰Managing diabetes can feel like there's a long list of "don'ts" but healthy fats are actually one of your allies. It's not about cutting out fat altogether, it's about choosing the right ones.

Saturated and trans fats (fatty meats, butter, fried foods) can work against your blood sugar control. But olive oil, avocados, nuts, and fish? Those can help support steadier blood sugar. 💪

Small swaps in your meals can go a long way, but everyone's blood sugar responds a little differently, and that's where the right guidance can help. If you're looking to better understand your numbers and find an approach that fits your lifestyle, our team is here for you.

Obesity rarely occurs on its own. It is often linked to conditions like Type 2 diabetes, fatty liver disease, and cardiovascular disease and addressing weight can have a meaningful impact on all of them.

For some patients, medications such as Semaglutide and Tirzepatide may be part of a broader, individualised strategy to reduce long-term health risks, not just support weight loss. Every person's journey is different, and finding the right approach takes time, care, and the right support.

Continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) are transforming the way people with Type 2 diabetes understand their blood sugar but the technology alone isn't enough.

In her recent feature with The Business Times, Dr Ester Yeoh shares why successful diabetes monitoring starts with having a clear purpose, understanding the data, and translating those insights into sustainable lifestyle changes.

When paired with education and personalised guidance, short-term CGM use can empower patients to make more informed decisions about their diet, exercise, and overall diabetes management.

For many years, weight management was seen as simply eating less and exercising more. Today, we know obesity is a complex chronic disease influenced by hormones, the brain, and metabolism.

As our understanding evolves, so do the treatment options available. Newer medications are helping patients manage weight by working with the body's natural appetite and fullness signals.
