✨July is my birthday month.

I thought this would be the season to slow down.
Instead, life had other plans.

This month was filled with familiar moments and new beginnings.

Regular sessions in Singapore.
Corporate workshops and sound baths.
Celebrating another mentee completing the mentorship programme.
Welcoming more NOVAA bowls.
Teaching the Advanced Workshop in Bangkok.
Receiving a deeply nourishing gong session from a friend.
Two unforgettable days in Nepal curating bowls and taking another step in building my work.
And quietly building a new studio that I’m excited to share with you soon.

Looking back, I realise it wasn’t just a busy month.
It was a month of building.

Building people.
Building ideas.
Building spaces.
Building something that I hope will continue serving others for years to come.

If this is how my 60th year begins...
I’m looking forward to seeing where it leads.

Sound healer’s math.

4 bowls.

1 bag.

1,850 km.

5 kg.

I carried my NOVAA Harmony Set from Singapore to Bangkok in a single cabin bag.

The funny part?

My cabin baggage allowance was 10 kg.

So technically… I “wasted” 5 kg. 😄

But that’s exactly why I designed the Harmony Set this way.

Light enough to travel.

Compact enough for airports, overhead compartments, BTS rides, and workshop days.

Because sometimes, your classroom is 1,850 km away.

As I prepared the space today, I found myself reaching for the gong. It is one of the instruments I often use to help release physical and mental tension before easing into a restorative singing bowl sound journey.

During our conversation before the session, my clients shared that it had been a particularly stressful week. My initial plan seemed appropriate.

Then, as we settled into the space, I noticed something else asking for attention.

Instead of beginning with the gong, I paused.

We started with a simple guided meditation, gently inviting a smile, kindness and compassion into the quietness within.

Within moments, I watched the furrowed brows soften. The heaviness around the corners of the mouth eased. Their faces became lighter before the sound bath.

Stress has a quiet way of settling into the body. Sometimes we carry it in tightened shoulders. Sometimes in shallow breathing. Sometimes in expressions we no longer realise we’re holding.

While we may not be able to avoid stress, we can intentionally create moments that restore balance, moments that nourish both the mind and the heart.

The next time you sit in meditation, offer yourself one. Let it soften your face, then gently place that smile into your heart. See how it changes the quality of your stillness.

When we begin this way, the sound bath becomes more than something we listen to, it becomes a space where kindness and compassion can settle more deeply within us.

There are many ways to grow…

Some begin with one instrument and gradually expand into others.

Others explore many instruments first before discovering the one that truly resonates with them.

Neither path is better.

But I’ve noticed something interesting.

✨Specialisation is often where artistry begins.

Before that point, we’re naturally asking:
“What other instruments can I learn?”

After that point, the question becomes:
“How deeply can I understand this?”

It is a quiet shift.

✨From having more.....to refining more.

I see this often in mentorship.
