That stubborn knot across your shoulders may be doing more than making you feel tense.

It can support skin renewal and help improve the look of fine lines, uneven tone, texture, and dullness over time.

The part that often gets missed is how it should be introduced.
Starting too quickly, layering it with too many active ingredients, or using it more often than your skin can tolerate may leave the skin feeling dry or sensitised. A steady routine usually works better.

For those new to retinol, beginning two to three nights a week allows the skin time to adjust. Those who are already comfortable with it may be able to use a more regular evening formula.

Keep the rest of the routine simple, moisturise well, and make daily sunscreen a habit.
