In the past, according to Chinese customs, well wishers will self prepare a basin of water with flower petals outside their house. They'll do a self cleanse before entering their house after attending a wake. Nowadays, convenience is everything. We'll prepare a cleansing corner at the wake, for attendees to wash up before leaving for home.
