Singapore's story has always been one of resilience, courage, and looking ahead.

Behind every family is a story too. Some journeys are straightforward, while others take a little more time, patience, and hope.

This National Day, we celebrate every couple taking the next step towards building the future they dream of.

Happy 61st Birthday, Singapore.

🩸 BLOOD ON TOILET PAPER OR IN YOUR STOOL? DON’T ASSUME IT’S “JUST PILES”.
Many people wait because they assume it is caused by haemorrhoids.
While piles are a common cause of re**al bleeding, they are not the only possible cause.

See a doctor if the bleeding keeps returning, continues despite piles treatment, or occurs with:
• Blood, mucus or clots in the stool
• Dark or black, tar-like stools
• Persistent abdominal pain
• Ongoing constipation or diarrhoea
• Unexplained fatigue or weight loss
Even a small amount of blood should not be self-diagnosed. Book an appointment with our colore**al specialist to find the cause and discuss if further tests are needed. We currently have a consultation package at S$100 nett.

"Why am I still bleeding one week after giving birth? Is something wrong?"

This is a common worry for new mothers. Bleeding after a v4ginal delivery or Caesarean section is called lochia. It can continue for several weeks, but should gradually become lighter and change from red to brown or pink, then yellowish or creamy.

Speak to your doctor if the bleeding becomes heavier, persists with large clots, smells unpleasant, or comes with fever, abdominal pain, dizziness, breathlessness or unusual tiredness. Possible causes include retained placental tissue or an infection in the uterus.

If you are soaking through a maternity pad within an hour, bleeding continuously or feeling faint, seek urgent medical care.

Every mother’s recovery is different. If something does not feel right, it is safer to have it checked.
Save or share this with a new mum. ❤️

Your sp3rm count may be normal, but what about the DNA inside your sp3rm?
Many men assume that being able to produce sp3rm means their fertility is fine. But male fertility involves more than sp3rm count. Doctors may also assess sp3rm movement, shape and, when appropriate, sp3rm DNA quality.

Smoking can increase oxidative stress, which may affect sp3rm quality and increase sp3rm DNA fragmentation. Va**ng should not be considered harmless either, as v**e aerosols may contain ni****ne and other chemicals that could affect reproductive health.

The encouraging part is that sp3rm is produced continuously. Stopping smoking and va**ng may support better sp3rm health over time.

If you are planning to become a father or have been trying for pregnancy, don’t let your partner be the only one getting checked. Speak with a doctor about a male fertility assessment, starting with a s3men a**lysis and, if appropriate, further sp3rm function testing. WhatsApp +65 9088 0620 for an appointment.

Note: Va**ng is illegal in Singapore.

Heavy periods, spotting between cycles or bleeding after s*x? It may be easy to dismiss, but these can sometimes be signs of uterine polyps.
Uterine polyps, also called endometrial polyps, are growths that develop from the inner lining of the uterus. They are common, and many women have no symptoms at all. Some are only discovered during a routine pelvic ultrasound or health screening.

Possible signs include:
🩸 Heavier periods
🩸 Spotting or bleeding between periods
🩸 Bleeding after s*x
🩸 Difficulty getting pregnant

For women trying to conceive, a polyp inside the uterine cavity may sometimes interfere with embryo implantation.

In this reel, learn how uterine polyps are detected and when you should speak to a gynaecologist. If you notice an unusual change in your bleeding pattern, it is worth getting assessed rather than continuing to wonder.

If you have concerns, you can see one of our gynaecologists. Contact us at +65 9088 0620 for an appointment.

Behind every IVF journey is a team many patients may never meet, but whose work matters at every stage. 💙

Every day, our embryologists work carefully behind the laboratory doors, caring for eggs, s***m and embryos with extraordinary precision, patience and dedication.

To our wonderful embryology team, thank you for bringing together science, skill and compassion in everything you do. The work may happen quietly in the laboratory, but the hope you help nurture extends far beyond it.

Today, we celebrate our team and the important role they play in supporting every patient’s journey towards building a family.

Happy World Embryologist Day! 🧫🔬✨

Think you know your STI names? 🤔
We challenged our clinic staff to solve these sound-alike puzzles... and not everyone passed! 😂
Watch till the end and see how many you can guess.
💬 What's your score out of 5? Comment your score.

Did you know?
💡Chlamydia often causes no symptoms, which is why regular testing is important if you're s*xually active.
💡 Herpes can spread even when no sores are visible.
💡 Syphilis is treatable, especially when diagnosed early.
💡 Untreated gonorrhoea can lead to serious health complications.
💡 HPV vaccination can help protect against several HPV-related cancers.
STIs cannot be diagnosed from symptoms alone. Speak to a doctor if you are concerned about possible exposure or testing.

Trying to conceive after 35? Waiting longer is not always the right next step.
If you have irregular or absent periods, very painful me**es, heavy bleeding, PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids or a known thyroid condition, consider seeking fertility advice earlier.
A fertility check is generally recommended:
🔹 After 12 months of trying if you are under 35
🔹 After 6 months if you are 35 or older
🔹 Earlier if you already have fertility red flags or a known medical condition
And remember, fertility is a couple’s issue. Erectile dysfunction, low libido or testicular concerns are also reasons for the male partner to be assessed.
These signs do not mean you cannot conceive. They simply mean it may be time to investigate instead of continuing to wait.
Speak with a fertility specialist about a comprehensive couple fertility assessment to understand what may be affecting your chances of pregnancy.
📌 Save this and share it with someone who is trying to conceive.

Who really plays matchmaker in IVF? 💘
Not the doctor. It’s the embryologist.
Conventional IVF lets sp3rm and egg “mingle” naturally. ICSI gives them a more precise introduction by placing one selected sp3rm directly into the egg.
At Sincere IVF Center Singapore, ICSI is part of our standard laboratory protocol.
Because sometimes, even s***m need a little help making the first move. 😄

Something feels “off” down there... but you’re not sure why?
It could be related to your v@ginal pH.
A healthy v@ginal pH helps protect against irritation and infection by supporting the right balance of good bacteria. But things like periods, s3x, antibiotics, scented washes, and hormonal changes can disrupt that balance.
Common signs may include:
unusual discharge
strong or fishy odor
itching
burning or irritation
This carousel breaks it down simply so you can better understand what’s normal and when it may be worth getting checked.
