If your eyes look too round or short it could be because you have a vertical fold of skin in the inner corner of your eye called the epicanthic fold. This skin fold shortens the inner corner of the eye and makes the inner corner look rounded. As a result, the entire eye looks shorter in a horizontal dimension. In addition, the epicanthic fold exerts a downward pull on the eyelid, causing the double eyelid crease to collapse before it reaches the inner corner.
A procedure called the medial epicanthoplasty can help you fix that.
Medial epicanthoplasty is a surgical procedure that removes the epicanthic fold. In doing so, the inner corner becomes longer and sharper. Furthermore, your double eyelid crease will no longer collapse before it reaches the inner corner, and it will instead become more visible in the region of the inner corner. The eye will end up looking wider , less rounded and more almond shaped.
The incisions are strategically placed so that scarring is minimized. Dr Huang uses an innovative Korean technique that he has further refined and modified in order to produce inconspicuous scars.
The medial epicanthoplasty allows you to gain self confidence with a more attractive eye shape.
