IGARD Group comprise of a multidisciplinary team which focuses on Vision, Workplace Ergonomics and Pain Management. It provides a wide range of professional services to assess the different attributes of vision, including optical, functional aspects and perception, and provides the appropriate course of management, including spectacles, contact lenses, vision therapy and referral. In addition, a g
eneral evaluation of eye health is a routine part of a Standard Eye Examination, and users of contact lenses are routinely given a corneal health assessment.
‘Workplace ergonomics and safety’ was established at IGARD in 2006 owing to the high prevalence of work-related repetitive strain and injuries. Their optometry team provides corporate occupational vision consultancy services and prescription safety glasses, and their physiotherapy team provides preventive options and rehabilitative treatment for musculoskeletal problems such as neck- and backaches. IGARD Group is the first in Singapore to work with ‘Sports Physio Eye Development’ (SPEED) as an integral aspect in an athlete’s training schedule to improving sporting performance. ‘IGARD Kids!’ is synonymous with the PediaVue Baby Eye Screening, Preschool Eye Screening and Paediatric Eye Examination. It specialises in infant and children eyewear, and provides orthoptic vision therapy, paediatric physiotherapy and neurodevelopmental therapy. More recently, IGARD is the first and only centre in Singapore to provide Pattern Glare Test for testing individuals suffering from photosensitive migraines.
