Lesson of the week: stem cuttings root much faster in the DARK‼️ You gotta mimick that soil environment like in NATURE. I guess before I've been spoiled with easily rooted basil cuttings... now I'm wrapping my rooting glass with paper. Not as pretty but it's better for the babies. 😊 No need to buy those fancy propagation stations that look like lab tube toys for children....

My vanilla is doing something I've never seen a plant do - growing away from light ‼️
I guess the light is too intense and I will have to move the whole plant inwards. With the sun returning to the equator and soon to be in the north, this balcony will transform into a sun loving plant heaven. My figs, bananas, palms, cacti are ready to move in!

To be honest I'm not sure what the difference is between and (or ) 🤷‍♀️ Sometimes identification is frustrating especially with mixed up cultivars out there... 🧐
I hope I do this baby justice in time. It is by far my most expensive plant. I hope it stays that way 😂
