Play, compete, but most importantly have fun while doing good!

In support of the annual SingHealth President’s Challenge, colleagues across SingHealth institutions came together for a day of friendly competitions, from badminton and pickleball tournaments to a sporting relay and a cheerleading competition!

Special thanks to Mr Baey Yam Keng 马炎庆, Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Transport, and Mayor of North East District, who joined us as Guest of Honour.

And a big shout out to all participants and supporters who showed us strong camaraderie and the power of coming together for a meaningful cause. Thank you for your energy, enthusiasm and heart, and for showing what it means to be One SingHealth.💙

Fear of falling is common among older adults, especially after a previous fall, and can lead to reduced activity, loss of confidence, social isolation, and weaker muscles 🥺

Dr Lai Wei Na, Consultant for Post-Acute & Continuing Care (PACC) at SingHealth Community Hospitals (SCH) shared that to overcome this fear, seniors should stay physically active, participate in balance and strength exercises, address medical issues that affect mobility, and make their homes safer.

Support from healthcare professionals, family members, and fall-prevention programmes can help rebuild confidence, maintain independence, and reduce the likelihood of future falls.

How do we build a workplace culture where every generation learns from one another to drive clinical and operational excellence?

At our SCH Town Hall themed "Generational Learning as a Driver for Excellence", we had the privilege of inviting guest speakers from Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) - James Ang, Assistant Director of Nursing, and Kimberley Tan, Assistant Nurse Clinician, to share more on bridging generational gaps in the workplace. You might know them from their popular social media account – a ground-up initiative that has brought the real, human stories of nursing to life and built a community that resonates far beyond the walls of TTSH.

From leveraging on storytelling and digital platforms to bridging generational gaps in the workplace, they provided a powerful look into how we can build trust and strengthen team dynamics across the different age groups! We were most definitely inspired 😊
