Very pleased to share that Dr Ong Ian is now part of our team in the SpecialKids family!
She comes with many years of pediatric experience, having done her basic medical degree at the Royal Free and University College Medical School, London. She then obtained the MRCPCH (UK) and returned to practice in Singapore till she left for private practice in 2014. She has deep interests in developmental and behaviours Paediatrics and has great compassion for the those with special needs.

Educational Therapist Teacher Cara at The SKILT Centre is running a composition writing workshop for P6s on 18 July — and there are still a few spots left.

If your child struggles to get started or doesn't know how to develop their ideas, this is a good one. Small group, focused attention, registration closes 11 July.

Composition writing is one of the hardest parts of English to improve in the final stretch before PSLE — and for many P6s, it's not about effort. It's about not knowing where to start.

Some kids freeze at the blank page. Some write two lines and stop. Some know exactly what they want to say but can't get it down on paper.

That's what our upcoming writing workshop is designed for.

On 18 July, Ms Cara Tan will work with a small group of P6s on how to plan and structure a composition, and how to say more with the words they already know. No shortcuts — just a clear, repeatable approach they can take into the exam.

An eventful 14 years, and grateful for each season. 🎉

From opening our doors in 2012 as one of the first private developmental paediatric clinics in Singapore, to launching The SKILT Centre in 2017, to learning — together with so many of you — how to keep showing up through a pandemic, growing into Bukit Timah, and now supporting more than 4,500 families: every season has taught us something.

But the biggest privilege has always been the same — walking alongside your families, some for a little while, some for years, and watching your children grow into exactly who they are.

Thank you for 14 years of trust. Here’s to many more seasons together.
