Today marked the official handover of TTSH’s Chief Nurse position from CN Shu Yin to CN Margaret! 💛

We’d like to thank CN Shu Yin for her love and support the past 6 years. Thank you for being a grounded, but also visionary trailblazer who empowers every nurse to be a leader, and constantly reminds us that no effort is too little or should go unseen. We wish you all the best and will definitely continue to disturb you since you’ll just be a traffic light away 😋

And to CN Margaret, a massive congratulations! ☀️ We can’t wait to spend more time with you (hehe) and look forward to this new exciting era of TTSH Nursing! 💐

In this feature, we spotlight Emeritus Fellow Sr Patmawali — one of this year’s Long Service Award recipients — as she reflects on 50 remarkable years at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

From her early days as a staff nurse to the Nurse Advisor she is today, Sr Patmawali has spent her career innovating, nurturing, and guiding the next generation of nurses.

Through it all, a lesson from her father has never left her — that the kindness you give to your patients is the greatest achievement of all.

Her story is one of purpose, passion, and belonging, rooted in the hospital she has always called home.
