Your toothbrush works hard — but it can’t do every job.
Cleaning between the teeth helps remove plaque and food debris from areas that toothbrush bristles may not easily reach.
The American Dental Association recommends:
🦷 Brushing teeth twice daily for two minutes
🦷 Cleaning between the teeth once daily
This applies to children too, once any two teeth begin touching. Younger children may need a grown-up’s help until they can floss thoroughly on their own — a small task that can easily become part of the family’s daily routine.
Floss is one option, while interdental brushes and oral irrigators may also be suitable. Not sure which option is appropriate for you or your child? Ask your dentist or hygienist for individual guidance at your next visit.
A small daily habit that’s very easy to forget — consider this your friendly reminder! 😉
