Temple hollowing is one of the subtle changes that can affect overall facial shape and balance.

When the temporal area loses volume, the upper face may appear slightly more angular or less supported. In selected patients, carefully placed hyaluronic acid filler can be used to restore volume in this area and improve the transition between the forehead, temple and cheek.

The aim is not to change the face dramatically, but to consider the face as a whole — looking at proportion, contour and overall facial harmony.
