Very pleased to share that Charis Lifeworks in partnership with Syndemic solutions will be doing our 2nd run of CFT.

We will be running the 3 days training in Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) 8th to 10th July 2026 (3 days online) and if you are in the mental health space, social service sector, helping profession or in a volunteering capacity, this is a very good course to consider.

I attach some FAQs:

1. Will there be a certificate given for this course?

YES. A certificate of attendance

2. How does further training look like in the case of certification?

This course provides foundational knowledge and skills for working with individuals but does not qualify participants to practice as CFT therapist. That requires another level of training like many other modalities offered in SG.

3. Is CFT a type or part of Mindfulness?

CFT uses techniques such as Mindfulness, meditation & imagery techniques to help encourage new connections & circuits between the different parts of the brain responsible for different impulses & sensations.

Personally we believe it’s most appropriate to describe Bowen Therapy as “acupuncture without needles”. This will be what we would normally say when introducing Bowen Therapy to a new client/patient.

There are many other forms of physical therapy or body work out there.

“Hoarding is not the same as collecting. While some individuals may accumulate out of material desire or habit, hoarding disorder typically reflects deeper psychological vulnerabilities, including past trauma, depression, social isolation or cognitive decline…

The standard of care involves cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) adapted for hoarding, often alongside medication. Therapy focuses on building rapport and insight, gradually reducing anxiety around discarding, and developing new routines. But it takes time. Successful outcomes often require years of consistent support.”

What if the issues are at a deeper level in the unconscious or there is past trauma? It’s worthwhile to consider depth psychology work.

Happy to share we will be extending the dateline for registrations.

To encourage more participants we will also be reducing the course fees to $600/pax, and group sign-ups of 4 will be $550/pax.

This is the 3 days training in Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) in March 2025 and if you are in the mental health space, social service sector, helping profession or in a volunteering capacity, this is a very good course to consider.

CFT training in SG is not common and we are very happy to invite 2 Clinical Psychologists from the UK to come and conduct this training.
