Does Coffee Actually Give You Energy?
"Ever wonder why coffee gives you energy? Here's the interesting part—it doesn't actually create energy."
Caffeine doesn't give your body more energy.
Instead, it blocks a chemical in your brain called adenosine.
Throughout the day, adenosine gradually builds up and makes you feel sleepy.
By blocking it, caffeine temporarily makes you feel more alert and less tired.
But here's the catch.
You're not removing your tiredness.
You're simply delaying when you feel it.
It's a little like borrowing alertness from later in the day.
Eventually, when the caffeine wears off, the tiredness catches up.
So this is how I'd bend it:
Caffeine doesn't create energy—it temporarily hides tiredness.
