Many of our users report that listening to music with their cochlear implants is a pleasant experience. Here’s how you, too, can enjoy music with your CI:

🎶 Select something familiar. Music you listened to when you were younger can be easier to understand as your memory helps fill in the gaps.
🤫 Choose a comfortable environment that’s quiet, relaxing, and has no echo.
🎧 Use headphones or direct audio input via an assistive listening device.
🎼 Use visual cues—watch live music or video clips in which you can see the music being played or sung.
🥰 Enjoy the world of sounds, and don’t give up.

Do you know a family with cochlear implants? 👩‍👧‍👧🦻

Meet 38-year-old Rayan and her daughters. Not only did she get CIs for both of her daughters, but she has one herself.
Rayan was diagnosed with hearing loss when she was 11 months old. Just before she turned 29, she decided to get a CI.

Today, she lives in the UK with her two daughters who were both born with profound hearing loss. For them to have the best possible outcome in life in terms of language, communication, and self-esteem, Rayan decided to get them hearing implants too.

“They are both thriving with their implants. Because of their CIs, they can speak on the phone, communicate without needing to lipread, and live a very fulfilling life.”

Our suggestion for putting on a new SAMBA 2 cover:

Slowly slide the cover on while pressing it with your thumb on the side furthest away from the battery compartment. It’s best to apply it gently, as shown in the video.
