Is medication really the only way to reverse pre-diabetes? Exercise might be one of the most powerful tools you’re not fully using yet.

Dr Mandy Zhang from Changi General Hospital (CGH) shares that exercise should be the main lifestyle intervention for someone who is pre-diabetic, and how consistent movement can be more effective than diabetic medication alone in improving blood sugar control.

FunFam SportFest was a blast last weekend! Our Active Health Community Fitness Challenge (AHrena) took centrestage, challenging participants on the five core components of fitness - cardio, strength, balance, agility and power 💪

Our Active Health Coaches also ran multiple sessions of AH MAP (Mobility Assessment Programme), featuring simple and engaging parent-child exercises to get families moving together.

Lastly, our nutrition booth featured interactive games like “Spot the Difference” and “Nutrition Bingo” to make learning about healthy eating education fun! Participants also picked up simple nutrition tips along the way while enjoying the activities ✨
