About TCM Physician Yap Meng Chuan

Mr Yap Meng Chuan is a fully registered TCM Physician with the TCM Practitioners Board of Singapore. Trained originally in Architecture he subsequently completed graduate studies in Chinese Medicine from Beijing University of Chinese Medical Studies and Institute of Chinese Medical Studies (Singapore). He is the Director and TCM Physician at Meng TCM Wellness Centre . His primary clinical areas are internal medicine, pain management, acupuncture, and health cultivation. He is also a certified yoga instructor and yoga therapist for over 10 years.

叶铭钏医师是持有新加坡中医师执业准证的中医师。毕业于北京中药医药大学和新加坡中医学研究院, 他擅长运用中药、针灸、治疗并预防内科常见疾病和疼痛性疾病。他目前是铭康中医诊疗中心的业务总监兼中医师。同时,他也是名拥有十多年经验的瑜伽导师和瑜伽护理师。

Lìchūn (Start of Spring) marks the body’s shift from storing energy to moving it.

In TCM, spring is not about pushing harder, it is about allowing circulation to return gently.

The Huangdi Neijing advises:

“Sleep a little later, wake a little earlier, walk freely, loosen the body.”

Spring lifestyle tips:
👉Keep a regular sleep schedule
👉Choose gentle movement over intense workouts
👉Move enough to feel warm, not exhausted

Not recommended
❌Intense workout that cause excessive perspiration
❌Intense workout in cold weather

This supports healthy Liver qi and smoother energy flow.

If you often feel stiff, tired, or have restless sleep this spring,
Lìchūn is the perfect time to gently adjust your routine and energy flow.

The Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of the year.
In TCM, it represents the turning point when Yin reaches its peak and Yang energy begins to rise. Proper care now supports long-term health.
