Just six months ago, our seniors at Peacehaven Bedok Arena picked up their drone soccer controllers and began learning something new together.

Since then, their curiosity, perseverance and many hours of practice have carried them all the way to a Top 8 finish at Singapore’s first Silver Drone Soccer Tournament.

The tournament brought together more than 200 seniors across 29 teams. After qualifying for the Top 16 Finals on 30 July, our team returned on 1 August and advanced to the quarter-finals—a milestone warmly celebrated by everyone at Bedok Arena.

Behind every match was a journey of learning: sharpening their hand-eye coordination, navigating new technology and discovering how much they could accomplish through communication and teamwork. Their progress reflects not only their dedication to the sport, but also their courage to embrace a new challenge and grow alongside one another.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the FUN! Fund for enabling us to introduce drone soccer at Bedok Arena. We are also grateful to our participants who purchased their own drone soccer balls to continue practising, and to a senior volunteer who generously donated two additional balls to the centre.

To our team: congratulations on this remarkable result. Your enthusiasm, determination and team spirit have brought you far—and we could not be prouder.

The moments we’ve been waiting to share are finally here! Take a look back at our Nurses’ Day celebration on 31 July 2026.

The day began with plenty of cheers and friendly competition as our nurses took on a series of team challenges. In the afternoon, we continued the celebration with cake-cutting and lunch before gathering for the awards ceremony, where we recognised colleagues graduating from Peacehaven’s dementia-care programmes, our top students, and staff stepping into new roles.

Our residents then brought energy to the stage with a drumming performance, while messages from their families reflected the difference our nurses make each day. After our nurses recited the Nurses’ Pledge, the celebration ended on a high with the announcement of our TikTok Challenge winners!

To our nursing team, thank you for everything you bring to Peacehaven. This day was for you. 💙

🌵🎋A Wonderful Gardens Getaway! 📸❤️

Our seniors from The Salvation Army Peacehaven Bedok Arena Active Ageing Centre had a wonderful Saturday exploring the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay on 18 July 2026.

The day began with a visit to the Flower Dome, where our seniors admired the vibrant floral displays and the diverse collection of plants from around the world. They then ventured into the Cloud Forest, where the spectacular indoor waterfall, lush greenery, and exciting dinosaur displays made the experience even more memorable. The cool, misty atmosphere provided a refreshing escape, allowing everyone to enjoy the breathtaking scenery at a leisurely pace.

Filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of photo opportunities, the outing was a wonderful chance for our seniors to connect with nature, create lasting memories, and enjoy quality time together.

We would like to thank Far East Hospitality team for organising this memorable outing. We sincerely appreciate their generosity and warm hospitality in making it a meaningful and enjoyable experience for everyone.

On 17 July 2026, our seniors from The Salvation Army Peacehaven Bedok Arena were delighted to attend the HCSA x Caring Touch Charity Golf 2026 event held at Laguna National Golf Resort, where they were treated to a special dinner.

Set in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, our seniors enjoyed a sumptuous meal and a memorable evening together.

🌿 A Blooming Day at the Singapore Garden Festival 2026 🌿

Our seniors from The Salvation Army Peacehaven Bedok Arena Active Ageing Centre had a delightful outing to the Singapore Garden Festival 2026 on 8 July 2026, where they were immersed in a vibrant showcase of nature, creativity, and horticulture.

They marvelled at the stunning floral displays, explored the Sensory Garden and Community Garden Edibles, and gathered inspiration from My Living Space exhibition on how plants can be used to beautify and brighten their homes. Along the way, our seniors also learned about a variety of plant species and discovered simple gardening ideas that they could incorporate into their everyday lives.

It was truly a refreshing and enriching experience that encouraged our seniors to appreciate the beauty of gardening and the therapeutic benefits of connecting with nature.

🎉🏆 Champions! 🏆🎉

"Full of Life, Full of Hearts" – that's the spirit our seniors from The Salvation Army, Peacehaven Bedok Arena Active Ageing Centre brought to the Tampines East CC Floor Curling Competition on 19 Jul 2026, where they proudly emerged as Champions! 🥇

A huge congratulations to our winning team—Mr Teo, Billy, and Chiu Eng for their outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship. They faced strong opponents throughout the competition, and the championship was decided by a thrilling Golden Rock! With steady hands, sharp focus, and unwavering teamwork, our seniors delivered the winning shot to secure the title. This victory is a wonderful reflection of what active ageing is all about—staying physically active, mentally engaged, and socially connected.

A heartfelt thank you to Tampines East CC and the Singapore Floor Curling Federation for organising this fantastic competition and creating such an exciting and memorable experience for all participants.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Fengshan Mulberry Residents' Network for generously allowing us to use their premises for our weekly floor curling practice sessions. 🎉💛 A Durian Feast to Remember this July! 💛🎉

What a wonderful day of joy, laughter, and community spirit at The Salvation Army Peacehaven Bedok Arena!

A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsor from Durian Ninja & Malaysia 707, located at Blk 827 Tampines Street 81, for sponsoring 100kg of delicious durians for our seniors at both the Active Ageing Centre (AAC) and Bedok Day Centre. Their generosity brought countless smiles and made the day truly special.

A special shout-out also goes to our amazing senior volunteers, who rolled up their sleeves to help open the durians and prepare them for everyone. Their enthusiasm and willingness to serve one another truly embody the spirit of active ageing and community care.

From the first bite to the last seed, our seniors thoroughly enjoyed the delicious treat while sharing laughter, conversations, and precious moments together. It was more than just a durian feast—it was a celebration of friendship, volunteerism, and the generosity that brings our community closer.

Seniors at Bedok Arena enjoyed a meaningful morning at A Celebration of Togetherness on 18 June 2026, as they came together to celebrate both Father's Day and the Dragon Boat Festival.

The programme began with a sharing session on Inspiring Dads, where seniors reflected on the important role fathers play in our lives and shared heartfelt stories about their own father figures.

Participants also learned about the origins and traditions of the Dragon Boat Festival and took part in a fun sensory game, Smell and Guess, where they put their sense of smell to the test by identifying different spices.

The celebration ended on a heartwarming note, with each senior receiving a dumpling or curry puff, together with a handmade dumpling crochet as a special memento of the day. These crochet gifts were handcrafted with love by volunteers from our Crochet Club.

At Peacehaven, we believe that quality care begins with knowledgeable, compassionate, and well-equipped staff. As dementia becomes increasingly prevalent in our ageing population, it is essential that our team understands the unique needs, experiences, and challenges faced by persons living with dementia and their caregivers.
