Seniors at Bedok Arena enjoyed a meaningful morning at A Celebration of Togetherness on 18 June 2026, as they came together to celebrate both Father's Day and the Dragon Boat Festival.

The programme began with a sharing session on Inspiring Dads, where seniors reflected on the important role fathers play in our lives and shared heartfelt stories about their own father figures.

Participants also learned about the origins and traditions of the Dragon Boat Festival and took part in a fun sensory game, Smell and Guess, where they put their sense of smell to the test by identifying different spices.

The celebration ended on a heartwarming note, with each senior receiving a dumpling or curry puff, together with a handmade dumpling crochet as a special memento of the day. These crochet gifts were handcrafted with love by volunteers from our Crochet Club.

🎉 Congratulations to the latest batch of Peacehaven staff who have completed the Foundation in Dementia Care training course, as part of their orientation programme.👏

At Peacehaven, we believe that quality care begins with knowledgeable, compassionate, and well-equipped staff. As dementia becomes increasingly prevalent in our ageing population, it is essential that our team understands the unique needs, experiences, and challenges faced by persons living with dementia and their caregivers.

This is just the first step in their dementia care education, and we look forward to supporting our team as they grow in their professional capabilities and commitment to serving seniors with excellence.

At Peacehaven Nursing Home, the health and well-being of our residents remain at the heart of everything we do.

Our recent Infection Control Roadshow brought together staff, volunteers, and partners in a meaningful and engaging learning experience focused on strengthening infection prevention practices. Through interactive activities, educational booths, and practical demonstrations, participants gained valuable knowledge on hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE), environmental cleanliness, and the important role each individual plays in safeguarding our residents.

We are grateful to our dedicated team members who enthusiastically participated and demonstrated their commitment to creating a safe and caring environment. Every clean hand, every precaution taken, and every act of vigilance contributes to protecting those entrusted to our care.

As we continue to journey alongside our residents and their families, let us remember that infection prevention is not just a responsibility, it is an expression of our love, compassion, and respect for one another.

Together, we can build a healthier, safer, and stronger Peacehaven community.

With great care and dedication, Amy and Marsha lovingly transformed soft diet ingredients into delicious Bak Chang (rice dumplings) specially prepared for our residents at Peacehaven Nursing Home.

Understanding the unique dietary needs of our seniors, they went the extra mile to ensure that every resident could enjoy the festive tradition safely, comfortably, and with dignity.

More than just a meal, each Bak Chang carried warmth, thoughtfulness, and the spirit of inclusion. Seeing the smiles on our residents’ faces as they savoured this cherished festival delicacy reminded us that love is often expressed through the simplest acts of care.

A heartfelt thank you to Amy and Marsha for their creativity, compassion, and commitment to making every celebration meaningful for our residents.

☕️❤️ Sharing Kopi, Building Connections, Empowering Our Caregivers

Recently, caregivers and their loved ones came together at Peacehaven Bedok Day Centre for a heartwarming Kopi Chit Chat session.

While our seniors enjoyed a relaxing morning of kopi and local breakfast favourites, caregivers gathered to connect, share their experiences, and engage in meaningful conversations about the support they would like to receive through our It Takes a Village initiative.

The session provided a valuable opportunity for caregivers to build connections with one another, exchange insights, and share their thoughts on how the community can better support them in their caregiving journey. Their feedback and ideas will help shape future programmes and resources that strengthen the network of care around both caregivers and seniors.

We believe that caregiving is a collective effort, and that no one should have to walk the journey alone. We hope to foster a caring and supportive community where caregivers feel heard, valued, and empowered.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this meaningful morning of kopi, conversation, and connection. We look forward to many more opportunities to come together and support one another.

Values in Action: Donation Drive for The Salvation Army Peacehaven Nursing Home 🌷

From 1 May to 1 June, our students from Punggol View branch and their families came together in a meaningful donation drive to support the residents of Peace Haven Nursing Home. Essential items such as biscuits, Milo and instant oats were generously contributed, reflecting the spirit of compassion and kindness.

Through this initiative, students not only extended care to the community but also learned the importance of giving back and making a positive difference. We sincerely thank all students and families for their heartfelt contributions and unwavering support in making this drive a success.

After weeks of training and preparation, our seniors proudly represented Peacehaven Bedok Arena Active Ageing Centre at the Seniors National Games (SNG) 2026 held at OCBC Arena on 4 June 2026.

Competing in Seated Floorball, Boccia, Sport Stacking, and Disc Golf, our seniors demonstrated determination, confidence, and sportsmanship throughout the event. Some of our seniors were also invited on stage to entertain the audience with a singing performance. Kudos to them for confidently stepping up and showcasing their talents in front of the crowd.

We are also proud to share that our Sport Stacking team clinched 3rd place in the South Zone heats! Congratulations to all our participants for their resilience and positive spirit. You have made us proud!

Our seniors recently attended a health talk titled "Understanding One's Body with regards to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)", conducted by Acupuncturist Ms Sim Ann Ling from Changi General Hospital.

The informative session introduced participants to the concept of TCM body constitution, the different types of TCM body constitutions, and ways to harmonise the body through healthy eating habits and simple acupressure techniques. Seniors gained practical knowledge that can be applied to their daily lives to support their overall well being. The talk also sparked many interesting questions from participants, leading to lively discussions with Ms Sim.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Changi General Hospital and Ms Sim Ann Ling for their support and for conducting this meaningful session at our Centre.

A group of 35 seniors from Peacehaven Bedok Arena enjoyed a wonderful movie outing sponsored by Sian Chay Medical Institution at VivoCity.

The movie, Liang Po Po vs Ah Beng, kept everyone laughing from start to finish with its hilarious comedy and entertaining storyline. The cinema was filled with laughter, smiles, and happy moments throughout the show!

A big thank you to Sian Chay for this enjoyable treat. Our seniors had a fantastic time and returned home with joyful memories and plenty of stories to share.

Laughter is the best medicine, and this movie certainly delivered a healthy dose of it!
