Ergonomic is the most overused word in equipment marketing

Independent seat tilt lets the seat angle forward or back separately from the backrest, so the operator keeps a neutral spine angle regardless of chair height. Backrest inclination adjusts on its own. Silent block movement means no click or jolt, so operators actually adjust mid-procedure instead of avoiding it.

Together, that means the adjustment happens under the operator, not instead of them.

The stools were seven years old, fixed backrest angle, limited seat tilt, no adjustment for individual posture over long sessions.

The clinic switched to IRIS, with independent seat tilt and backrest inclination for each operator. Eight weeks later, the same informal check-in came back with zero new complaints.

Before that, they looked at where the time was actually going. Manual chair repositioning and instrument setup, every patient, every dentist.
