I have created and invited you to join this page in an effort to extend my stories beyond my circle of friends. This idea completely freaks me out, as I try to be as private as possible, but with much encouragement from you all, I am taking the plunge in an attempt to start sharing my life stories with the world. I am hoping that you all could invite at least a friend or 2 or 3 to like this page as well with the hopes that the group will come across a publisher or Oprah, and then the rest will be history. For me to meet Oprah and tell her, finally, that when I was 14 years old, I wrote her a letter and she never wrote be back! I hope you like my "normal" as much as I humorously go through it, with my family. Husband, first born son Austin (5) and 18month old triplets Deacon (son), Kennedy (daughter) and Oksana (daughter).

Me: oh! Like a doppelgänger?

K: Yes yes! But an evil one

Me: Easy! I’d just yell at the top of my voice,
“All 4 of you go clean the bathrooms!!”

K: 🤨

Me: Make sure the bathtubs are sparkling clean

K: 🧐

I continue: Replace the toilet paper, clean the mirrors, wipe the counters…

K: Mmm…I think I’ll prefer the evil twin 🥴

Washing machine started acting up, car decided not to cooperate, child…ahem…CHILDREN actin’ a mock!!

By the evening, I had BECOME this cute little binger! I even had ruffle potato chips too!

We were all intelligent-by text book standards.
And we needed to build a fire, as the evening cooled down.

“We need paper to start”
“Huh! Do we have any?”
“I got the wood!”
“That’s a log”
“And it rained. So it’s wet. Won’t work”
“Kindle! I’ve seen it on tv. National Geographic. Naked and afraid” 🙈
“Forgot my kindle…”
“Nooo sticks. Little ones. To keep the fire going”
“We need to build a tepee”
“A what now?”
“We need kerosene”
“Huh?”
“Sooo no one has a fire starter?”
“Ohhh it’s on! The fire is going! Look at the embers”

30 minutes. A nice solid half hour, is how long it took for us to get this beautiful blaze going.

But the lesson isn’t in the fire. 🔥
Naa. Not at all.
The lesson is in the memories we made, trying to bring it to life.
The personalities that came out as we explored options.
The laughs we roared when discovering kindle.

As life gets hectic and chaotic, may we remember the fiery memories 😉 along the way.

Once upon a time, I had the opportunity to travel to BEAUTIFUL ! The gorgeous, green land of 10,000 hills.

In visiting the local sights, this beautiful woman showed us some of the traditions of food preparation.

After her demonstration, they asked me to try…not knowing this same method of grinding was taught to me by paternal grandmother waaayyy back when!

When I started singing, the nostalgia of my childhood was overwhelming.

It’s amazing how similar we are as humans!
