How to make a “Kafr Nbel-like” banner: use a large white sheet, acrylic paint (black and red) and a “sign-writing paintbrush.” The bottom line should be in red, and have your city name and the date of the photo. Squeeze as many people as you can behind it, looking straight at the camera, like they do in Kafr Nbel, Syria. If you can, do it in front of a city landmark.

In an Orwellian society, it is a radical act to organize against the political party of the state, like Samira alKhalil did, like Razan Zaitouna did... Zeitouna recognized the Assad regime as the main aggressor responsible for perpetrating terrorism in Syria, but also worked to document human rights abuses committed by the opposition. She made a point to educate as many members of the armed opposition as possible about International human rights law in an effort to curb abuse."

The aims of the Sail4Syria project, which is a project of London-based Syria Peace & Justice, are:

To show solidarity with people whose lives have been torn apart by the crisis in Syria, including those still living in war zones and besieged areas and the more than 2.5 million refugees dispersed mainly around neighbouring countries, including Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey;

To build networks with and support grassroots organisations and communities inside and outside Syria working to address the serious humanitarian and societal issues created by the crisis, as well as those working non-violently for positive democratic change within Syria;

To publicise our call for an end to the fuelling and intensifying of the conflict by various governments including UK, USA, Russia, Iran, Qatar, Saudia Arabia and Turkey who have been facilitating the flow of weapons and military equipment into the country to all sides, and without taking their full share of responsibility for the ensuing humanitarian crisis.

THE REVOLUTION CONTINUES says the penultimate screen: The civil resistance in Damascus, capital of Syria, plasters the city with pamphlets pretending on first glance to be for Bashar, but declaring that "every vote costs the blood of innocents, the freedom of prisoners of conscience, and the destruction of the country." Eight locations in Damascus were leafleted by civilian activists, risking detention and torture in what the video notes is an "Occupied Damascus" tightly controlled by regime security forces:
