A couple members of our counseling team recently had the opportunity to travel to Chiangmai for EMDR therapy training! ☺️ We are so thankful to Kim Johnson, L.C.S.W. (EMDRIA Approved EMDR Trainer) for donating her time and resources to equip mental health professionals in Thailand. Her knowledge and passion for healing trauma is truly inspiring! ❤️🙏

We are also grateful to Cornerstone Foundation for facilitating the training at their beautiful counseling center. It was an honor to learn alongside one another!

*EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps people process traumatic or distressing memories. It is especially known for its effectiveness in treating trauma conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder. ❤️‍🩹

Chompooh (Child, Adolescent, and Family Psychologist) from Palm Center was able to recently participate in the Psychotraumatology and Stabilization Techniques training program, organized by the EMDR Association Thailand in collaboration with the CU Psychotrauma Centre and Chulalongkorn University at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. ☺️🩵

This training aims to develop skills in effectively supporting clients who have experienced psychological trauma—enhancing depth of care while aligning with professional standards. The program emphasizes building understanding, emotional stability, and holistic, sustainable mental health recovery for clients. We are grateful to have received such a beneficial opportunity!

นักจิตวิทยาเด็ก วัยรุ่น และครอบครัว จากปาล์มเซ็นเตอร์ ได้เข้าร่วมอบรมหลักสูตร Psychotraumatology and Stabilization Techniques ซึ่งจัดโดย EMDR Association Thailand ร่วมกับ CU Psychotrauma Centre และจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ณ โรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์ เพื่อพัฒนาทักษะในการดูแลผู้รับคำปรึกษาที่มีบาดแผลทางใจ (trauma) ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ลึกซึ้ง และสอดคล้องตามมาตรฐานวิชาชีพ โดยมุ่งเน้นการเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจ ความมั่นคงทางอารมณ์ และการฟื้นฟูภาวะจิตใจของผู้รับบริการอย่างรอบด้านและยั่งยืน 🙏

✨MEET OUR TEAM✨ Natwaree “Fon” Ruamsuk is the leader of our outreach team! She has a heart especially for women working in bars in Pattaya, and families and children in underserved communities, understanding their real-life challenges and building relationships. She is instrumental in referring cases from outreach to receive counseling in person at the Palm Center when needed. 🙏 Fon has received DTS training through YWAM, as well as lay counseling training through the Christian Counseling Association Thailand (CCAT), strengthening her natural listening and empathy skills as she is present with people in need.

In addition to her highschool education and ministry experience, Fon has training and many years of providing professional beauty services through her own salon. Now, she is pursuing her passion to bring emotional and mental healing to women, children, and people in the community through Palm Center. She wants to reach people from all backgrounds, because she believes everyone needs care and support.

In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach in the evening and listening to the sound of the waves. She also loves spending time with family, going for walks, and singing. Her personal goals include improving her English skills, building counseling skills, and taking keyboard classes.

✨แนะนำทีมของเรา✨ ณัฐวารี “พี่ฝน” รวมสุข เป็นผู้นำทีมออกประกาศของเรา! เธอมีหัวใจเป็นพิเศษเพื่อผู้หญิงที่ทำงานในบาร์ในพัทยา รวมถึงครอบครัวและเด็ก ๆ ในชุมชนที่ขาดโอกาส พี่ฝนมุ่งมั่นในการเข้าใจปัญหาที่แท้จริงของพวกเขาและสร้างความสัมพันธ์ที่จริงใจ พี่ฝนมีบทบาทสำคัญในการส่งต่อเคสจากงานออกประกาศเข้าสู่การรับคำปรึกษาแบบตัวต่อตัวที่ ศูนย์ปาล์มเซ็นเตอร์ เมื่อจำเป็น 🙏

นอกจากการศึกษาระดับมัธยมปลายและประสบการณ์ด้านพันธกิจแล้ว พี่ฝนยังมีการฝึกอบรมและประสบการณ์หลายปีในการให้บริการด้านความงามอย่างมืออาชีพผ่านร้านเสริมสวยของตนเอง ปัจจุบันเธอกำลังเดินตามความฝันในการนำการเยียวยาด้านจิตใจและอารมณ์ไปสู่ผู้หญิง เด็ก ๆ และผู้คนในชุมชนผ่าน ปาล์มเซ็นเตอร์ เธอต้องการเข้าถึงผู้คนในทุกกลุ่ม เพราะเชื่อว่าทุกคนต้องการการเยียวยาและการสนับสนุน

ในเวลาว่าง พี่ฝนชอบไปนั่งที่ทะเลในช่วงเย็นและฟังเสียงคลื่น นอกจากนี้ยังชอบใช้เวลากับครอบครัว เดินเล่น และร้องเพลง เป้าหมายส่วนตัวของเธอคือการพัฒนาทักษะภาษาอังกฤษ ด้านการให้คำปรึกษา และเรียนเล่นคีย์บอร์ดเพิ่มเติม ☺️

ฉันรับผิดชอบงานด้านธุรการ เอกสาร และการจัดการงานบัญชี เช่น การจัดทำรายรับ–รายจ่าย การบันทึกข้อมูล และสนับสนุนการดำเนินงานของ ปาล์มเซ็นเตอร์ เพื่อให้เป็นไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและโปร่งใส

Name: Usuma Sriwangraj (Paeng) 🩵
Position: Admin & Accounting

I am responsible for administration, documentation, and managing accounting tasks, such as income and expense records, recording data, and supporting Palm Center’s operations to ensure they run efficiently and transparently.

I love my work at Palm Center because it gives me the opportunity to help others. Although my work happens behind the scenes, it is essential to the organization’s operations. Seeing projects run smoothly and knowing that my work contributes to helping women and children receive care, healing, and a better quality of life makes me feel proud and fulfilled. I also feel happy to be part of a team that works with dedication and genuine love and compassion.

I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Ramkhamhaeng University in the Faculty of Human Resource Development, focusing on personal development, organizational management, and improving quality of life in society. I aim to apply my knowledge and experience to improve work within social organizations, supporting and empowering women and children. I am committed to continuous personal growth, both professionally and spiritually, in order to contribute to building a strong, equitable society filled with hope for the future!

In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and cooking. I also participate in worship and volunteer activities, which bring me joy and a sense of purpose in life.

A member of our team had the opportunity to attend a one week counseling training in Chiang Mai! Libby learned Christian integration through the Living Wholeness counseling framework, brought together by teachers from all over the world! She learned how important it is to first connect and understand, before responding. Other major topics included grief, anxiety, anger, and building a social pyramid of support. ❤️

Thank you so much to the Christian Counseling Association of Thailand (CCAT) and Living Wholeness for providing such an amazing opportunity to learn alongside other counselors, ministry leaders, and member care providers. Thank you also to Cornerstone Foundation in Chiang Mai for facilitating at their beautiful center. We are excited to continue learning and growing together in the future! 🙏
