Guilt around healing and feeling like you are betraying your family by letting go - this comes up more than you might think.

There is a moment in deep healing work when something unexpected surfaces.

Guilt.

The feeling that by releasing the patterns, the pain, the inherited beliefs, you are somehow being disloyal to the people who carried them before you.

I want to say this clearly:

Healing yourself is not a betrayal to your family.

It is the most loving thing you can do for every generation that comes after you.

Some of the fears, beliefs, and emotional burdens you carry were inherited through generations, and were never truly yours to hold.

It was handed down.
Silently. Invisibly. Across generations.

The beliefs.
The fears.
The feeling of not being quite enough.

Your mother carried it.

And at some point, someone has to be the one who puts it down.
