Dedicated to better health for Bangladeshis worldwide. Dr. Shakti Ranjan Paul is an Internal Medicine Specialist at Bangkok Hospital, Thailand. Since 2002, he has been serving at Bangkok Hospital — initially as Assistant Director of International Operations and later transitioning into full-time clinical practice. Before joining Bangkok Hospital, Dr. Shakti worked for over 20 years with various United Nations agencies including UNBRO, UNHCR, UNOPS, UNDP, and UNAIDS, as well as other international organizations and NGOs across Asia and Europe. During this time, he held senior leadership positions and contributed to research and publications on scrub typhus, enteritis necroticans (pigbel disease), dengue hemorrhagic fever, cerebral malaria, disaster medical management, population migration, and HIV/AIDS. Dr. Shakti is currently the only practicing physician of Bangladeshi origin in Thailand. As an Internal Medicine specialist, his key areas of interest include:

In Bangladesh, Dr. Shakti is the Co-Founder and Chairman of Life & Health Bangladesh. The organization facilitates patient referrals to leading international hospitals, including Bangkok Hospital, and provides services such as Air Ambulance coordination, Telemedicine, Second Opinion consultations, E-Prescriptions, and comprehensive Health Profiles. Through a public-private partnership with Chittagong Medical College Hospital, Life & Health developed a comprehensive breast cancer project in Chittagong. The organization is also actively raising awareness about pesticide and formalin contamination in food and plans to introduce organic mosquito repellents and other health-enhancing products in the future. Currently, Life & Health operates three offices — two in Dhaka and one in Chittagong — supported by a team of over 26 professionals.
