Behind every assistance case, there are people on the ground.

This week, flooding across Bangkok has affected daily life for many, including members of our own AMAR team.

Yet the work continues, as it has for more than 20 years.

To our team on the ground, and to everyone navigating a very wet Bangkok this week, please, take care.

25 years later, many of us still remember where we were when we heard the news.

September 11, 2001 began in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania, but its impact reached far beyond the United States. Across borders, nationalities and generations.

Today, we remember the 2,977 people who lost their lives that day. We remember their families and loved ones, the first responders, and all those whose lives were forever changed.

And we remember those who, in the years and decades that followed, lost their lives to illnesses linked to their exposure in the aftermath. A human toll that did not end on September 11.

For an international community spread across countries and continents, some moments remind us just how deeply connected our lives can be.

Today, wherever we are in the world, we remember them.

September 11, 2001.

25 years.

“Have you eaten yet ?”

Sometimes, the most ordinary questions carry the most love.

They may be repeated every day, barely noticed or answered a little too quickly. Yet these small moments often become the ones we hold closest.

Across languages and cultures, love is often expressed not through grand declarations, but through ordinary questions, familiar dishes and a place quietly kept for us at the table.

This Mother’s Day, take a moment to notice the small ways love is spoken in your family, and if you can, stay for the meal.

Some expressions of love need no translation.

Happy Mother’s Day to every mother and mother figure 💙

And a gentle thought for the mothers who are no longer with us, but whose love remains part of who we are.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the tragedy at Debsirin Nonthaburi School.

In moments of sudden loss, words can never truly express the depth of grief experienced by families and loved ones.

Today, we stand with the victims, the injured, their families and the wider Nonthaburi community in grief.

With deepest sympathy,
The AMAR Assistance Team

Today marks an important new chapter for us.

AMAR International Repatriations is evolving into AMAR Assistance 🙌

This new identity better reflects who we are today and the full scope of the support we provide.

While international repatriation remains a core part of our work, our role has always gone far beyond transportation alone.

Every day, we support families, embassies, assistance companies and partners through some of life’s most complex and sensitive situations providing guidance, coordination, funeral support, medical repatriation and administrative assistance across Thailand.

ïŧŋWhat is changing :
✓ Our name
✓ Our visual identity
✓ Our website : www.amar-assistance.com

What is NOT changing :
✓ The same trusted team
✓ The same values
✓ The same commitment to compassionate, professional support

This evolution reflects our growth and our ambition to continue serving families and partners with even greater clarity and purpose.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted us along the way.
This is only the beginning.

Behind the celebrations, Songkran is about respect, gratitude, and the quiet gesture of pouring water into the hands of our elders.
A moment that reminds us who we care for.

As the holidays begin, we also know how intense this period can be across Thailand.
Take care on the roads, look after one another, and hold on to what truly matters.

During this holiday season, we would like to extend our warmest thoughts to the families, partners, and colleagues who have placed their trust in us.

We are mindful that this time of year can bring mixed emotions. Please know that our thoughts are with those who are remembering loved ones, facing challenges, or navigating difficult moments.

Thank you for allowing AMAR to stand beside you with care, dignity, and compassion across borders and cultures.

Wishing you peace, comfort, and gentle moments during the holiday season.

Over 2.7 million people in Southern Thailand are affected by the worst flooding in 25 years, across nine provinces including Hat Yai. Heavy rains, limited drainage, and geographic vulnerabilities have made the situation extremely challenging, and local rescuers are struggling with shortages of boats and equipment to reach everyone in need.

It’s natural to feel powerless from afar, but even small actions can make a real difference for families and communities struggling right now. Here’s how you can help.

Donate essential items :
- Rice & drinking water
- Canned/instant food, instant meals
- Diapers & women’s sanitary pads
- Medicines & basic medical supplies
- Cleaning supplies, water pumps / high-pressure washers
- Pet food, clothes
- Power banks & flashlights

Donation & drop-off info :

Bangkok Community Help Foundation
Bangkok Bank : 105‑5‑06287‑9 (transfer note : “Southern Floods”)

International donations: bangkokcommunityhelp.org/donation

Drop-off locations : B*H Foundation House, Sukhumvit Soi 10 (07:00–19:00) or any Sunrise Taco’s.

Even a few cans, bottles of water, or a small donation can go a long way when we act together.
