"Dvesha means 'repulson or feelings of hatred for persons or things.' Raga and dvesha, attachment and hatred are two sides of the same coin. You cannot separate them. Dvesha may cause pain when one is confronted with an object or a person one does not like or when such an aversion assumes the form of contempt, hatred or open hostility. When you become attached you become blind and forget the reality. When you are attached to certain things, they create such strong impressions in your mind that you remember those things again and again. The impressions that hatred creates are even deeper. When you hate somebody you forget all about those whom you love, because hatred is stronger than love. If you really want to understand the capacity of your love, just watch how strong your hatred is for certain persons or things. If you love somebody wholeheartedly, you can never hate that person.
"Patanjali says constant contemplation over the opposite is the way to get freedom from hatred and violence. Thought power is very important. Even though you have the capacity to do so, you have not learned how to direct negative emotions toward positive grooves. If somebody hates you, try to think of that person in a loving way. Don't torture yourself by thinking about somebody negatively. It is very harmful to think or meditate negatively. When you hate others, it is you who suffers. Learn to forgive. The same life force is within you and everyone else. Learn to love and live with that life force and give the best that you have selflessly. Live in the world and love all, excluding none. If you are a giving person and love selflessly, nobody can sn**ch your happiness from you. Love is the source of liberation and has the power to transform you. Love is life."
