งานวิเทศสัมพันธ์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ขอแสดงความอาลัยอย่างสุดซึ้งต่อการจากไปของ รองศาสตราจารย์ นายแพทย์ธีระศักดิ์ แก้วอมตวงศ์ (“อาจารย์ต้น”) แพทย์เฉพาะทางสาขาวิชาโรคระบบการหายใจและเวชบำบัดวิกฤต ภาควิชาอายุรศาสตร์

การจากไปของอาจารย์นับเป็นความสูญเสียครั้งสำคัญของคณะฯ วงการแพทย์ไทย ตลอดจนศิษย์ เพื่อนร่วมงาน และผู้ป่วยจำนวนมากที่ได้รับความเมตตา ความทุ่มเท และแรงบันดาลใจจากอาจารย์เสมอมา

ในนามของงานวิเทศสัมพันธ์ ขอแสดงความเสียใจอย่างสุดซึ้งต่อครอบครัว เพื่อนร่วมงาน ศิษย์ และผู้ที่รักและเคารพอาจารย์ทุกท่าน

The International Relations Office, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, extends its deepest condolences on the passing of Associate Professor Teerasak Kaewamatwong, M.D. (“Ajarn Ton”), a distinguished specialist in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Department of Medicine.

His passing is a profound loss to the Faculty, the Thai medical community, his colleagues, students, patients, and all who had the privilege of knowing him and benefiting from his kindness, dedication, and inspiration.

On behalf of the International Relations Office, we express our heartfelt sympathy to his family, colleagues, students, and loved ones during this difficult time.

May he rest in peace, and may the legacy of his contributions continue to inspire generations to come.

Ramathibodi Welcomes Study Visit Group from Airlangga University

On May 12, 2026, at the Medical Learning Resource Center and Ramathibodi School of Nursing, the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Prof. Atiporn Ingsathit, M.D., Ph.D., Director of Ramathibodi Hospital, officially welcomed delegates from the Master’s Program in Health Policy and Administration of Airlangga University, Indonesia. The visit served as a platform for special lectures and a knowledge exchange on hospital administration and health system management. The key topics of round table discussions included the Development and Management of Centers of Excellence (COE), Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Information Technology for management, Diagnosis-Related Group (DRG) management and Global Budget systems.

Following the lecture and round table discussion session, the delegation visited key operational units to observe high-quality medical services and innovations firsthand at Ramathibodi Emergency Medical Operation Unit (Rama EMO) at the Department of Emergency Medicine as well as visiting the Skin Laser Center at the Somdech Phra Debaratana Medical Center.

This study visit signifies a robust collaboration between Mahidol University and Airlangga University. By sharing expertise in hospital management, the program ensures that participants can adapt and apply these insights within their own organizational contexts in Indonesia, fostering regional growth in healthcare administration.

คณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล เดินหน้าขับเคลื่อนนโยบายการสร้างผลกระทบต่อสังคมในระดับนานาชาติ (Real-world Impact) ผ่านโครงการเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งระบบบริการสาธารณสุข ร่วมกับกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ โดยส่งคณะผู้เชี่ยวชาญเดินทางเยือนสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยติมอร์-เลสเต ระหว่างวันที่ 10-13 พฤษภาคม 2569 เพื่อปฏิบัติภารกิจวางรากฐานการดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วยโรคไตอย่างครบวงจร

คณะเดินทางนำโดย ผศ.นพ.สุชิน วรวิชชวงษ์ รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิเทศสัมพันธ์ พร้อมด้วย รศ.นพ.สุรศักดิ์ กันตชูเวสศิริ หัวหน้าศูนย์ปลูกถ่ายอวัยวะ และ คุณวิไลพร อรรคบุตร พยาบาลเชี่ยวชาญโรคไต ร่วมกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงดิลี กรมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ (TICA) และองค์การอนามัยโลก (WHO) ลงพื้นที่ประเมินศักยภาพ (Capacity Assessment) ณ โรงพยาบาลแห่งชาติติมอร์ฯ (Hospital Nacional Guido Valadares - HNGV) เพื่อวิเคราะห์ความพร้อมและออกแบบแนวทางการพัฒนาระบบการดูแลผู้ป่วยโรคไตเรื้อรังให้สอดคล้องกับบริบทของพื้นที่

ภารกิจครั้งนี้ให้ความสำคัญกับการสร้างขีดความสามารถ (Capacity Building) ในมิติของบุคลากรและเชิงสถาบัน โดยคณะผู้เชี่ยวชาญได้เข้าหารือระดับนโยบายร่วมกับ H.E. Dr. Flávio Brandão Mendes de Araújo รัฐมนตรีช่วยว่าการกระทรวงสาธารณสุขติมอร์-เลสเต Dr. Arvind Mathur ผู้แทนองค์การอนามัยโลกประจำติมอร์-เลสเต และ นายอธิปัตย์ โรจนไพบูลย์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงดิลี เพื่อวางแนวทางการฝึกอบรมทักษะทางเทคนิคแก่ทีมแพทย์และพยาบาลประจำหน่วยไตเทียม มุ่งเน้นการสร้างมาตรฐานการรักษาที่เป็นสากลและสามารถพึ่งพาตนเองได้ในระยะยาว

นอกจากนี้ยังได้ร่วมหารือทางเทคนิคกับทีมแพทย์ พยาบาล และเจ้าหน้าที่ของโรงพยาบาล HNGV เพื่อรับฟังข้อเสนอแนะ และอภิปรายถึงปัญหาและแนวทางแก้ไขในทางปฏิบัติร่วมกัน

การเดินทางครั้งนี้ถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญของมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดลในการนำความเชี่ยวชาญทางการแพทย์มาสร้างความเปลี่ยนแปลงที่จับต้องได้ในระดับภูมิภาค สะท้อนถึงพันธกิจในการยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตและสร้างความยั่งยืนด้านสาธารณสุขให้แก่เพื่อนบ้านในอาเซียนอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม

The Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, continues to drive its policy of creating "Real-world Impact" at an international level through a project aimed at strengthening public health systems. From May 10–13, 2026, a team of experts visited the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to establish a foundation for comprehensive kidney disease care.
The delegation, led by Asst. Prof. Suchin Worawichawong, M.D., Deputy Dean for International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Surasak Kantachuvesiri, M.D., Head of the Organ Transplantation Center, and Ms. Wilaiporn Akkabut, a specialist renal nurse, collaborated with the Royal Thai Embassy in Dili, the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), and the World Health Organization (WHO). The team conducted a Capacity Assessment at the Hospital Nacional Guido Valadares (HNGV) to analyze readiness and design development guidelines for chronic kidney disease care tailored to the local context.

This mission prioritizes Capacity Building in both personnel and institutional dimensions. The experts held policy-level discussions with H.E. Dr. Flávio Brandão Mendes de Araújo, Vice Minister of Health of Timor-Leste; Dr. Arvind Mathur, WHO Representative to Timor-Leste; and Mr. Atipat Rojanapaibulya, the Thai Ambassador in Dili. These meetings aimed to establish a framework for technical skills training for the hemodialysis unit’s medical staff, focusing on achieving international treatment standards and long-term self-reliance.

This visit marks a significant step for Mahidol University in utilizing its medical expertise to create tangible change within the region. It reflects the university's mission to elevate the quality of life and establish concrete public health sustainability for neighboring countries.

On April 24, 2026, Clinical Professor Artit Ungkanont, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, along with the administrative team, extended a warm welcome to the executive leadership from Mandaya Hospital Group, Indonesia. The delegation was led by Dr. Ir. Edhijanto Widaja Taufik (Founder) and dr. Benedictus R. Widaja (President Director).

During the visit, Professor Dr. Suradej Hongeng, M.D., provided an in-depth introduction to the Center of Excellence for Cell Therapy and Gene Therapy, highlighting Ramathibodi’s cutting-edge advancements in regenerative medicine. The visit also included an extensive tour of the Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) Unit and state-of-the-art laboratory facilities.

This visit signifies a strengthening of international academic and clinical ties between the two leading healthcare institutions, fostering future collaborations in specialized medical treatments to improve patient outcomes across the region.

เมื่อวันที่ 24 เมษายน 2569 ณ คณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ศ.คลินิก นพ.อาทิตย์ อังกานนท์ คณบดีคณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหาร ให้การต้อนรับคณะผู้บริหารระดับสูงจาก Mandaya Hospital Group ประเทศอินโดนีเซีย นำโดย Dr. Ir. ในโอกาสนี้ ศ. นพ.สุรเดช หงส์อิง ผู้เชี่ยวชาญอาวุโส ได้นำเสนอข้อมูลของ ศูนย์ความเป็นเลิศด้านเซลล์บำบัดและยีนบำบัด (Center of Excellence for Cell Therapy and Gene Therapy) ซึ่งเป็นนวัตกรรมทางการแพทย์ที่ทันสมัยที่สุดของรามาธิบดี พร้อมทั้งนำคณะผู้บริหารเยี่ยมชมหน่วยปลูกถ่ายไขกระดูก (BMT Unit) และห้องปฏิบัติการที่ได้มาตรฐานระดับสากล

การเยี่ยมเยือนในครั้งนี้ถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือทางการแพทย์ระดับภูมิภาค เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ด้านการรักษาโรคซับซ้อน และยกระดับมาตรฐานการดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วยในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ร่วมกัน
