You donât notice it as stress. You notice it as a moment.
Anxiety hits and you donât want to move. Someone says something, you take it, and it sits in your chest for the rest of the day. Small things tick you off and you have no idea why. It wasnât even that big, but it had a charge.
You keep taking it. Then one day you explode.
Hereâs the part people miss. Stress isnât the enemy. You need it. Deadlines, training, the cold, the pressure that makes you sharper. Thatâs stress doing its job.
But the body doesnât file them separately. The training, the deadlines, the bad week, the short nights, it all goes into one account. Each one on its own is fine. Nobody is adding them up.
And the small ones never fully clear. You never got back to zero.
Days, weeks, months, years. Thatâs when it turns chronic.
By the time it has a name, itâs been building for years.
