🏆Sri Trang Group Celebrates the Power of Teamwork at “Somwang Cup 2026,” Promoting Employee Well-being, Engagement, and Sustainable Growth
Sri Trang Group officially kicked off its internal sports tournament, “Somwang Cup 2026,” on 1 August at Kickoff Arena in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province. The tournament aims to promote employees’ physical and mental well-being while strengthening teamwork, relationships, and a sense of belonging across the organization. This year’s event brings together more than 800 employees from 11 companies across the Group nationwide, featuring:
⚽ 44 men’s football teams, with the competition now in its fourth consecutive year.
🏐 26 women’s volleyball teams, with the competition now in its second consecutive year.
The participating teams will compete for a place in the finals, scheduled to take place in December, with championship trophies and total prize money of more than THB 200,000 up for grabs.
The “Somwang Cup” sports tournament was established in memory of Mr. Somwang Sincharoenkul, the founder of Sri Trang Group. It also provides employees with opportunities to stay active, build friendships, and develop teamwork through the values of sportsmanship, respect for the rules, and mutual respect. Fair Play Awards and Outstanding Athlete Awards are also presented to recognize and promote these values.
Mr. Veerasith Sinchareonkul, Group CEO of Sri Trang Group, highlighted the significance of the tournament “An organization’s success is not measured solely by its business performance or competition results. It is also reflected in the quality of life of its employees. Somwang Cup therefore serves as a platform for employees, local communities, and young people to build meaningful connections, strengthen their physical and mental well-being, and learn the value of teamwork through sport.”

STGT Partners with Oishi Group and Thaksin University to Launch The “Sri Trang Green Steps Project: Creating Value from Waste Rubber Gloves for the Development of Children and Youth's Potential”
Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Public Company Limited, or STGT, a global leader in sustainable rubber glove manufacturing and distribution, has launched the “Sri Trang Green Steps: Creating Value from Used Rubber Gloves to Empower Children and Youth” project. The initiative gives used rubber gloves a new purpose by creating value for society and the environment in line with circular economy principles.
The project brings together Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) PLC., Oishi Group Public Company Limited, and the Faculty of Engineering at Thaksin University to transform used rubber gloves collected from business operations through hygienic cleaning, sorting, and reprocessing. The Faculty of Engineering has also contributed its research expertise to developing a recycling formulation and process that minimizes chemical use while maximizing the proportion and efficient reuse of recovered materials. Through this collaboration, used rubber gloves have been upcycled into 70 square metres of rubber flooring for an indoor sports training area. The flooring was donated to Kanchanadit School in Surat Thani Province to help children and youth develop their athletic skills while promoting their health and well-being.
Beyond creating value for the community, the project helps reduce industrial waste, minimize environmental impacts, and lower greenhouse gas emissions associated with conventional waste disposal. It also reflects STGT’s commitment to conducting business under the “Clean World Clean Gloves” (CWCG) concept, which emphasizes resource efficiency, responsible manufacturing, and the creation of lasting value for society contributing to a cleaner world and a more sustainable future.
