🚤💜🩶 STGT Joins Forces with Local Communities, Donates Flat-Bottom Boats and Supports Evacuation Center Development to Strengthen Flood Preparedness in Songkhla Province
On 28 September 2026, Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Public Company Limited (STGT), headquartered in Songkhla Province, represented by Mr. Thipat Chaikeeree, Production Factory Manager, donated a motorized rescue boat and related equipment to Thung Lan Subdistrict Municipality, Khlong Hoi Khong District, Songkhla Province. The donation was officially received by Mr. Prasit Kaewmorakot, Mayor of Thung Lan Subdistrict Municipality, to strengthen flood preparedness and enhance emergency response capabilities within the community. The rescue boat will improve the municipality’s ability to access affected areas, evacuate residents, transport essential supplies, and provide timely assistance during flood emergencies. This support will help strengthen community resilience and enhance the effectiveness of local emergency operations when disasters occur.
In addition to the boat donation, STGT has also supported the construction of a flood evacuation center at Khlong Pratu Monastic Residence in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, which is currently under construction. The facility is designed to serve as a central hub for emergency preparedness and response, accommodating an emergency kitchen, the storage and distribution of essential supplies, and temporary shelter for residents affected by flooding. The center will play a vital role in enabling a more coordinated, efficient, and timely response to emergency situations within the community.
At the same time, the Company has prepared emergency assistance plans for employees, their families, and surrounding communities. These measures include the provision of relief packages, essential supplies, and on-the-ground coordination through designated Company representatives in affected areas, ensuring that support can be delivered promptly and effectively based on actual needs and circumstances.
