(Electroacupuncture)
⸻
(Cupping Therapy)
What Is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment that has been practiced for over 2,000 years. It involves the insertion of very fine sterile needles into specific points on the body to help restore balance, improve circulation, and stimulate the body’s natural healing processes.
Today, acupuncture is widely recognized around the world and is often used alongside conventional medical care to help manage pain, support recovery, and promote overall well-being.
⸻
Does Acupuncture Hurt?
Most patients experience little to no discomfort during treatment. Acupuncture needles are extremely thin—much thinner than standard injection needles.
Once the needle reaches the appropriate point, patients may feel a mild sensation of heaviness, tingling, warmth, numbness, or a dull ache. These sensations are normal and indicate that the body is responding to the treatment.
⸻
Are Acupuncture Needles Safe?
Acupuncture needles are made from high-quality medical-grade stainless steel and are sterilized before use.
For patient safety, only single-use disposable needles are used. Each needle is used once and then discarded, minimizing the risk of infection and ensuring the highest hygiene standards.
⸻
Electroacupuncture
Electroacupuncture combines traditional acupuncture with gentle electrical stimulation. Small electrodes are attached to selected acupuncture needles, delivering a safe, low-level electrical current to the targeted area.
Patients typically feel a mild rhythmic pulsing or muscle twitching sensation. The treatment is safe, controlled, and does not cause electric shock.
Electroacupuncture is commonly used to help relieve chronic pain, reduce muscle tension, and support nerve and muscle rehabilitation.
⸻
Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy is a traditional treatment that uses specialized cups placed on the skin to create gentle suction. This suction helps improve blood circulation, reduce muscle tension, and promote the body’s natural healing response.
Temporary circular marks or discoloration may appear after treatment. These marks are harmless and usually fade naturally within one to two weeks.
