📣In late February, the Friends for Asia Foundation was excited to welcome four dedicated medical interns from France — Ines, Suheda, Flavie, and Emilie — as they began their Medical Internship Projects here in Thailand.

During orientation, they also enjoyed our cultural show and welcome dinner, where a few interns and volunteers from previous groups joined them for the evening — a wonderful opportunity to connect, share experiences, and build friendships across programs.

📣In February, the Friends for Asia Foundation was pleased to welcome two dedicated volunteers who made a meaningful contribution to our projects in Thailand. These two lucky people were able to do their orientation in Chiang Mai during the weekend of the big Flower Festival!

👩‍⚕️Kristine joined us from Denmark as part of our Medical Internship Project, supporting local healthcare professionals while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a clinical setting.

🐘Raymond traveled from the United States to participate in our Elephant Camp Project, where he learned about ethical elephant care and assisted with daily camp activities alongside the local team.

A group program for high school students interested in engineering, innovation, and real-world problem solving. The Friends for Asia Foundation Engineering Immersion Program in Bangkok offers a unique opportunity to step into the world of professional engineers and see how engineering shapes the future.
During this one-week summer program, students will:
🔧 Explore multiple engineering fields and career pathways
🏭 Visit leading engineering companies and technology facilities
👨‍🔬 Interact with professional engineers and industry experts
🧠 Participate in hands-on activities and discussions about real engineering challenges

📣In February, Friends for Asia Foundation was excited to welcome an amazing group of 20 international volunteers and interns who brought passion, professionalism, and heart to our projects in Thailand. 🌏💙

Due to staggered times of arrival, not all are pictured here.

👩‍⚕️A strong medical team joined us from Denmark — Astrid, Sandra, Stine, Karoline, Kathrine, Naia, Olivia, Johanna, Mariam, Lubna, Laura, and Frida — alongside Louise, David, and Yolan from France. Together, they contributed their time and energy through our Medical Internship Project, supporting local healthcare settings while gaining valuable hands-on experience.

🐘From Taiwan, Chiahsing and Chiating took part in our Elephant Camp Project, learning about ethical elephant care and conservation. Rebecca from the United Kingdom also supported the Elephant Camp, while Mark, also from the UK, contributed to our English Education Project in the classroom. Ginevra traveled from Italy to join our Teaching Monks Project, working closely with young monks to support their English development.

📣In January, Friends for Asia Foundation welcomed six incredible international volunteers and interns who made a meaningful impact across our projects here in Thailand.

Lara from Belgium supported our Low Cost / Rural Teaching Project, while Margaux of France dedicated her time to our Children’s Home. Vanessa from Germany and Febe from the Netherlands both contributed to our Elephant Camp Project, supporting ethical care and conservation efforts.

From the United Kingdom, Joanne volunteered with both our Low Cost Teaching and Teaching Monks Projects, and Jake worked closely with young monks through the Teaching Monks Project.

In early January, we were proud to host four wonderful volunteers at Friends for Asia! 🌏💙

Jeremy from Australia and Gilles from Switzerland joined our Teaching Monks project. Melanie from Switzerland supported our English Education program, and Aryn from the United States participated in our Medical Internship project. Each brought great energy, compassion, and commitment to their work and to the local community.

Gilles isn’t pictured, as this was his fourth project with us — an incredible example of continued dedication and service.

👩‍⚕️We’ll be offering four sessions this summer. The first two are split programs, beginning in Chiang Rai and finishing in Chiang Mai, while Sessions 3 and 4 will take place in Bangkok.
