There’s a common misconception in yoga that using props means you “need help,” as if support is somehow a bad thing.
Sasha used to feel that way too. When she first started practicing, she avoided props because she thought they would reveal she was a beginner. Thirteen years later, she still brings blocks to every class she teaches and takes.
The truth is, yoga props were created to make the practice more accessible, sustainable, and supportive for all bodies. Instead of forcing ourselves to fit the posture, props allow the posture to fit us.
Join Sasha for The Prop Workshop, an exploration of how blocks, straps, bolsters, and other tools can help create more space, stability, awareness, and depth in your practice 🌴
Whether you’re completely new to yoga or have been practicing for years, this workshop invites you to approach familiar postures with curiosity instead of pressure.
You’ll learn practical ways to use props to:
• improve alignment and stability
• reduce unnecessary strain
• adapt poses for your body
• build strength and awareness safely
• access postures with more ease and confidence
