IBUPROFEN Interaction
Ibuprofen+ acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin)—> may increase the risk of thrombos
Ibuprofen reversibly binds to platelet COX-1 and can block aspirin's access to its binding site. When ibuprofen is taken before aspirin, it reduces aspirin's irreversible inhibition of COX-1, decreasing its antiplatelet effect and potentially increasing the risk of thrombosis.
