If the baby's bladder appears persistently enlarged on ultrasound, the reason may not simply be a 'full bladder.' 🔍
Particularly in male fetuses, a markedly distended bladder, thickening of the bladder wall, dilation of the posterior urethra, and visible changes in the kidneys may warrant an evaluation for Posterior Urethral Valves (PUV).
🔑 The 'keyhole sign' on ultrasound is an important diagnostic clue, but it does not represent a definitive diagnosis on its own.
In cases of suspected PUV, a detailed evaluation of the fetal urinary system and close monitoring of the pregnancy are essential.

Если при ультразвуковом исследовании мочевой пузырь плода постоянно выглядит увеличенным, причиной этого может быть не только его наполненность. 🔍
В частности, у плодов мужского пола такие признаки, как выраженное растяжение мочевого пузыря, утолщение его стенки, расширение заднего отдела уретры и аномалии почек, могут служить основанием для обследования на предмет наличия клапана задней уретры (КЗУ).
🔑 Важным диагностическим признаком при УЗИ является так называемый «симптом замочной скважины» (keyhole sign), хотя сам по себе он не позволяет поставить окончательный диагноз.
При подозрении на КЗУ критически важны детальная оценка мочевыделительной системы плода и тщательное наблюдение за течением беременности.

It is common during the early stages of pregnancy. However, if the baby remains in a breech position after 36 weeks of pregnancy, the mode of delivery should be carefully planned.

When there is a blockage in the baby's lower urinary tract, the bladder cannot empty properly and may appear enlarged on ultrasound. Posterior urethral valves (PUV) are one of the causes of this condition in male fetuses.
In selected cases, fetal intervention may be considered before birth. Although this procedure carries certain risks, when successful, it can improve the baby's chances of survival.
При развитии у плода обструкции нижних мочевыводящих путей (ОНМП) мочевой пузырь, не может опорожняться и на УЗИ выглядит увеличенным. Одной из причин такой обструкции, встречающейся у плодов мужского пола, является клапан задней уретры (КЗУ). В соответствующих случаях внутриутробное вмешательство — процедура, сопряженная с определенными рисками, — может способствовать выживанию плода,при успешном исходе.
