🇹🇷 Yeni hastanemizde ilk haftayı geride bırakırken, kronik kulak akıntısı (otore) ve kolesteatom (orta kulakta büyüyen cilt dokusu) gibi yaşam kalitesini ciddi ölçüde etkileyen kulak hastalıklarının cerrahi tedavilerini başarıyla tamamladık.
Kısa bir bilgilendirme: Kulak akıntıları ihmal edilmemesi gereken, kolesteatom ise zamanında müdahale edilmediğinde işitme kayıplarına ve ciddi komplikasyonlara yol açabilen bir hastalıktır. Doğru cerrahi yaklaşımlarla bu sorunların önüne geçmek ve hastalarımızın sağlığına kavuştuğunu görmek en büyük motivasyonumuz.
Bu yoğun haftayı, enerjileriyle operasyonlarımıza değer katan pırıl pırıl asistan arkadaşlarımız ve her an yanımızda olan cabbar, cevval hemşirelerimizle birlikte geçirdik. Herkese emeği için teşekkürler🙏🙏🙏

🇺🇲 As we wrap up our first week at our new hospital, we have successfully completed the surgical treatments for ear diseases that severely impact quality of life, such as chronic ear discharge (otorrhea) and cholesteatoma (a skin growth in the middle ear).
A brief note on these conditions: Ear discharge should never be ignored, and cholesteatoma is a condition that, if left untreated, can lead to hearing loss and serious complications. Our greatest motivation is to prevent these issues through accurate surgical approaches and to see our patients regain their health.
We spent this intense week alongside our bright residents, who brought immense energy to our operations, and our resilient, dedicated nurses who stood by us at every step.🙏🙏🙏

🇹🇷 Bursa KBB ve BBC Hekimleri Derneği’nin nazik daveti üzerine Bursa’da olmaktan büyük onur duydum.
Ani idiyopatik işitme kayıpları üzerine bilgi ve deneyimlerimi paylaşma fırsatı bulduğum bu toplantı, hem akademik hem de sosyal açıdan son derece verimli, keyifliydi.
Bursa’da alanına gönül vermiş, güçlü, samimi ve çok değerli bir ekiple bir araya gelmek benim için ayrıca mutluluk vericiydi. Bu güzel organizasyonda emeği geçen kıymetli hocalarıma, meslektaşlarıma ve tüm katılımcılara gönülden teşekkür ederim.
Böylesine değerli bir buluşmanın parçası olmaktan büyük onur duyduğumu belirtmek istiyorum.

🇺🇸 I was truly honored to be in Bursa upon the kind invitation of the Bursa ENT and BBC Physicians Association.
It was a great pleasure to share my knowledge and experience on sudden idiopathic hearing loss. The meeting was highly productive, inspiring, and enjoyable, both academically and socially.
I was also delighted to meet such a wonderful, dedicated, and warm team of colleagues in Bursa. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to my esteemed professors, colleagues, and all participants who contributed to this valuable organization.
Once again, I sincerely thank the Bursa ENT and BBC Physicians Association for their kind invitation. It was a great honor and happiness for me to be part of such a meaningful gathering.

🇹🇷 Bugün itibarıyla İstanbul Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi KBB Anabilim Dalı’nda görevime başladım.
Başkent Üniversitesi İstanbul Hastanesi’nde geçirdiğim süre boyunca çok değerli deneyimler edindim, çok güzel insanlar tanıdım ve güzel işler yaptık. Orada biriktirdiklerim benim için her zaman çok kıymetli olacak.
Yeni kurumumda çok güzel bir karşılamayla göreve başlamanın mutluluğunu yaşıyorum. Mesleğime aynı heyecan, aynı özen ve aynı sorumluluk duygusuyla devam edeceğim.
Bundan sonraki süreçte hastalarım İstanbul Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi KBB Anabilim Dalı’nda bana ulaşabilirler.

🇺🇸 Today, I have started my new position at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology Istanbul Training and Research Hospital.
During my time at Başkent University Istanbul Hospital, I gained invaluable experience, met wonderful people, and had the opportunity to accomplish meaningful work together. Everything I have gained and experienced there will always remain very precious to me.
I am very happy to begin this new chapter at my new institution with such a warm welcome. I will continue my professional journey with the same enthusiasm, dedication, and sense of responsibility.
From now on, my patients can reach me at the Department of Otolaryngology Istanbul Training and Research Hospital.

🇹🇷 13. Ulusal Otoloji Nörotoloji Kongresi ve 15. Koklear İmplantasyon Odyoloji Kongresi bu yıl Fethiye’de gerçekleştirildi.
Ben de yaşlı popülasyonda koklear implantasyon ve BPPV konularındaki deneyimlerimi paylaşma fırsatı buldum. Kıymetli hocalarım ve meslektaşlarımla bir araya gelmekten büyük mutluluk duydum.

🇺🇸 The 13th National Otology Neurotology Congress and the 15th Cochlear Implantation Audiology Congress were held in Fethiye this year.
I had the opportunity to share my experiences on cochlear implantation in the elderly population and BPPV. It was a great pleasure to come together with my esteemed mentors and colleagues.

🇹🇷Bugün ekibimiz adına çok güzel bir haberi paylaşmak istiyorum.
“Role of Migraine in Recurrent Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)” başlıklı çalışmamız, American Journal of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Medicine and Surgery dergisinde yayımlandı.

Vertigo alanında güçlü bir klinik ve çok iyi bir ekibiz. Bu yayının ortaya çıkmasında emeği olan tüm ekip arkadaşlarıma gönülden teşekkür ederim.

Çalışmamız, migrenin tekrarlayan BPPV (halk arasında ‘kristal oynaması’) üzerine belirgin etkisini göstererek literatüre önemli bir katkı sunuyor. Vertigo ile başvuran hastalara yaklaşımı daha da geliştireceğine inanıyoruz.

🇺🇸I’m excited to share some great news from our team.
Our paper, “Role of Migraine in Recurrent Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)”, has been published in American Journal of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Medicine and Surgery.

I’m truly proud of our clinic and our amazing team—thank you to everyone who contributed to this work.

Our findings highlight a significant impact of migraine on recurrent BPPV, which we believe will add meaningful value to the literature and help refine the clinical approach to patients presenting with vertigo.

Beyin-omurilik sıvısı (BOS) kaçaklarına yaklaşım panelinde, kendi klinik olgularım üzerinden tanı ve tedavi deneyimlerimi paylaşma fırsatı buldum.
Değerli katkıları ve verimli tartışmaları için tüm panelistlere ve katılımcılara teşekkür ederim.

🇬🇧 The 8th skull base congress was held in Ankara this year.
I had the opportunity to share my diagnostic and surgical approach to cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks through my own clinical cases during the panel session.
Thank you to all panelists and participants for the valuable discussions and contributions.

🇹🇷2. Kütahya Otoloji Günleri kapsamında
Vestibüler schwannom tedavisinde son gelişmeler ile ilgili konuşma yapmak ve, Vestibüler hastalıkların ayırıcı tanısı konulu panelde panelist olarak yer almak benim için çok keyifliydi.

Güncel yaklaşımların paylaşıldığı, farklı deneyimlerin bir araya geldiği ve oldukça verimli bir bilgi alışverişinin olduğu bir toplantı oldu.
Emeği geçen herkese ve katkı sunan tüm meslektaşlarıma teşekkür ederim.

🇺🇸It was a great pleasure for me to give a talk on recent advances in the treatment of vestibular schwannoma and to take part as a panelist in the panel on the differential diagnosis of vestibular disorders within the scope of the 2nd Kütahya Otology Days.

It was a highly productive meeting where current approaches were shared and diverse experiences came together through valuable knowledge exchange.
I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the organization and all my colleagues who shared their insights.

🇹🇷46. Türk Ulusal KBB ve Baş Boyun Cerrahisi Kongresi’nde sunumumu gerçekleştirmek, alanımızdaki güncel gelişmeleri tartışmak ve değerli hocalarımız ile meslektaşlarımızla bir araya gelmek benim için büyük bir deneyimdi.
Bilgi alışverişi, yeni bakış açıları ve üzerinde çalışmaya başlayacağımız projeler bana güçlü bir motivasyon kattı.
Katkı sunan, ilham veren tüm hocalarıma ve meslektaşlarıma teşekkür ederim.

🇺🇸I had the opportunity to present my work at the 46th Turkish National Congress of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. It was a valuable experience to discuss current developments in our field and to connect with esteemed professors and colleagues.
The exchange of knowledge, new perspectives, and the projects we started planning together have provided strong motivation for the period ahead.
I would like to thank all professors and colleagues who contributed and offered their insights.

🇹🇷1 yıldır tek taraflı burun akıntısı şikayetiyle farklı merkezlerde tanı konulamayan hastamızda, detaylı incelemeler sonucunda spontan(kendiliğinden) beyin omurilik sıvısı (BOS) kaçağı tespit ettik ve cerrahi onarımını başarıyla gerçekleştirdik.

Bu tür kaçaklar bazen travma sonrası, bazen de kendiliğinden (spontan) gelişebilir. Tanıda dikkatli klinik değerlendirme ve deneyim çok önemlidir.

Operasyon sürecinde, bu konuda tecrübesine güvendiğim Prof. Dr. Erdem Eren ile birlikte çalıştık. Değerli katkısı için kendisine teşekkür ediyorum.

Bu tür durumların tanı ve tedavisi multidisipliner bir ekip çalışması gerektirir. Ekibimize ve emeği geçen herkese teşekkür ederim.

🇺🇲For one year, our patient had been experiencing unilateral nasal discharge and could not be diagnosed at various centers. Following detailed examinations, we identified a spontaneous cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak and successfully performed its surgical repair.

Such leaks may develop after trauma or sometimes spontaneously. Careful clinical evaluation and experience are very important in diagnosis.

During the operation, I worked together with Prof. Dr. Erdem Eren, whose expertise I greatly trust. I would like to thank him for his valuable contribution.

The diagnosis and treatment of such conditions require a multidisciplinary team effort. I would like to thank our team and everyone who contributed to this success.
