🌿Sometimes, You Don’t Need to Run Away. You Need to Return to Yourself.
We live surrounded by noise, responsibilities, expectations, and endless thoughts.
And sometimes, what we call “tiredness” is actually **emotional overload**.
From a **CBT perspective**, our thoughts influence our emotions and behaviors. When the mind constantly predicts danger, failure, or rejection, the body can remain in a state of stress even when nothing is actually happening.
From an **Attachment perspective**, we may also search for safety through people, approval, or constant reassurance—forgetting that emotional security begins with understanding ourselves.
And from **Positive Psychology**, wellbeing is not simply the absence of problems. It is also about meaning, connection, gratitude, strengths, and living according to our values.
But **Islamic Psychology** takes us one step deeper.
Allah says:
أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
The heart needs more than distraction.
It needs **meaning, connection, and a relationship with its Creator.**
So taking a pause is not weakness.
Resting is not laziness.
Setting boundaries is not selfishness.
And stepping away from the noise for a moment is not running away from life.
Sometimes, it is how we regain the clarity to return to life **with a calmer mind, a stronger heart, and a clearer purpose.** 🤍
🌿 Take care of your mind.
Take care of your heart.
And never forget the One who created both.
