Absorbable Haemostat- Wacocell Oxidised Regenerated Cellulose Knitting Type Haemostat
WACOCELL® Knitting Absorbable Haemostat is knit woven in a higher density and stronger weave than WACOCELL® Standard. This gives WACOCELL® Knitting enhanced haemostatic capabilities, making WACOCELL® Knitting into an even faster acting haemostat that can achieve haemostasis faster than WACOCELL® Standard.
WACOCELL® Knitting is also three times as thick as WACOCELL® Standard, which gives WACOCELL® Knitting a greater strength and coverage for heavier bleeding. This greater strength makes WACOCELL® Knitting the ideal haemostat to use in trauma, laparoscopic surgery, sternotomies, solid organ surgery, and in any procedure where the site requires wrapping. WACOCELL® Knitting can be also sutured in place to provide additional suture support.
WACOCELL® Knitting is also an excellent choice of haemostat for trauma wounds, and can even be rolled up and inserted into a narrow injury such as a puncture wound. WACOCELL® Knitting can hold a suture and its higher-density material also maintains its structural integrity during surgery. WACOCELL® Knitting is preferred by many surgeons for laparoscopic procedures and, if a minimally invasive operation requires the use of an absorbable haemostasis product, WACOCELL® Knitting can be introduced through a trocar.
