Over the years, my research has been published in the official journals of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (PRS) and the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (JPRAS).

Among these publications, two studies stand out. One focuses on strengthening thin or weakened SMAS tissue—like in revision cases—using deep plication techniques to provide better support and lifting. The other examines fat grafting, emphasizing the importance of antioxidant support in improving fat graft survival and achieving more reliable volume retention.

These studies represent important steps in my ongoing scientific work aimed at achieving more natural and long-lasting results. I will continue to share this journey with both my colleagues and my patients.

My Facelift Philosophy

A facelift is not about pulling the face tighter—it is about restoring it.

The face doesn’t age sideways. Over time, gravity causes the soft tissues to descend. My philosophy is to reposition these tissues back to where they naturally were years ago, creating a refreshed, youthful appearance while preserving each patient’s unique identity. Natural results will always be my priority.

My philosophy of Full Facial Rejuvenation has never been about creating a sharper jawline alone. While a defined jawline is an important element of a youthful face, it should never be achieved at the expense of facial harmony.

The midface is the foundation of natural rejuvenation. When it is overlooked, the face can appear artificial or disproportionate, no matter how well the neck or jawline is defined.

For me, facial rejuvenation is about restoring the architecture of the entire face—repositioning deep tissues, respecting natural anatomy, and preserving each patient’s unique identity.

In Ishigaki; Okinawa , the philosophy of Ikigai teaches that a long and fulfilling life comes from harmony, purpose, and inner balance.

This reflects my own philosophy of facial rejuvenation.

A youthful appearance is not achieved by surgery alone. A facelift can restore facial contours, and treatments can improve skin quality, but true rejuvenation goes beyond the physical.

When a person feels confident, fulfilled, and emotionally renewed, it naturally reflects on the face. The most beautiful results come from the harmony between inner well-being, healthy skin, and balanced facial features.

For me, facial rejuvenation is not simply about making someone look younger—it is about helping them look as vibrant as they feel inside.

In my opinion, modern facial rejuvenation is no longer just about performing a “classic facelift.” Aging affects the face as a whole — the neck, midface, forehead,jawline, eyes, lips, skin quality, and facial harmony all change together over time.
For this patient, we focused on comprehensive facial harmony with a personalized approach designed specifically for her anatomy and aging pattern. My goal is always to achieve elegant, natural, and long-lasting results while preserving each patient’s unique facial identity.

Three years after a male deep plane facelift and neck lift… and the definition is still there.
Over the years, with increasing experience, I have found myself choosing gland excision more often in selected patients. When indicated, it plays a key role in creating a sharper, more durable mandibular line.

A well-defined jawline depends not only on skin and muscle, but also on what we address in the deep neck.

In this patient, the submandibular glands were significantly enlarged. If left untreated, achieving this level of contour would not have been possible. For this reason, I included submandibular gland excision as part of the procedure.

This is always a personalized decision—not a routine step.

The goal remains the same: natural, balanced, and long-lasting results.
